Thank you for your video! I recently broke up with someone who's less than happy about it and thanks to you... changing the code on my garage door was super simple. Something I'll mention is that the process seems to be basically the same on most if not all Linear models. The placement of the buttons may be different but the process of setting/changing it is the same. Thanks again Continental Door Company & RU-vid! God Bless!
Trying to figure out what remote I need. I dont have the motor manual. The invoice doest have any model info on it. The motor case has a sticker on it (much like the one in this video) with the ID code 228470d - not sure if this means anything in terms of finding a compatible remote. I don't want to have to take the case apart to see if there is other info under the case, there are wires , screws and such to deal with. Is there any way to determine what type of remote I need? My garage motor looks like the one in this video...
I would assume this company is out of business by now. Garage door business is brutal. Anyone can start a business.. chuck in a trucks and the dc’s will sell to anyone. Nothing is regulated, no licensing is involved. The market is saturated with people who work for a company for 30 days and then think they can go out and start their own Business. This company probably is good but are dealing with what I’m talking about. It’s ridiculous
There could be a few things going on first thing comes to mind is that you have a broken spring and the motor cannot lift it. The second thing it could be is the RPM sensor is going out on the motor or logic board but most likely you either have a broken screen or you need to tune your spring up i.e. More Spring aid off the ground to help the motor
@@derikmorse2018 Having this exact issue. The garage door button in the Car and in the MyQ app will close the garage just fine... but when I try to open it, it only opens about a few inches and stops. Using the outdoor keypad that's nailed to the garage, that opens the garage door just fine.
Thank you! Hurricane Beryl just hit Houston and haven’t owned an electric garage door before. I figured this was the way but wanted to verify before pulling door release and screwing myself.
It took me 2min to set up my new wireless garage door opener after watching your video. Kudos to you. The instructions that came with the keypad is totally useless. Thank you
I have a linear garage door and often it beeps like there is an obstacle in the way, but there isn’t. The sensor lights do not even indicate that there is an obstruction. The garage door will not go down when it does this, and I have no clue what the issue is. Any tips?
Thanks for posting these Videos! You are a GREAT Help to many people! Wish you 100 Millions of views! Please post more videos, like how to get it back on track! Wish you well, and that your business prospers!
So I have a weird problem that my garage door keeps closing even if somebody comes in between the sensor, it will not stop and keeps closing. I see it as a safety issue in case a kid comes in the middle. The door will not stop. I do have sensors and they sent something as I can feel a little hesitation on the door, but it keeps on closing what could be the issue?
After a trnant movee out, I had trouble reprogramming two Linear remotes. The red light was flickering. After mqny faiked attempts, I got on RU-vid and stumbled upon this video. The problem was the vacation mode lock button was in on position. Once I slid it to off position, the remotes worked!! Thank you!!
Not "Len ear", but "Lin ee er", like traveling in a straight line, or a straight line on a graph that represents a equation. (A linear equation). Also, "two 1/2 turns" is the same as "four 1/4 turns" or "eight 1/8th turns", but it is properly expressed in it's lowest forms, so "two 1/2 turns" is properly expressed as "one whole turn". You do a good job, (got my door working correctly after blowing a circuit board.), but it is important to be correctly technical.
Sometimes my garage door opened for about 2 feet, then it stopped. Sometimes it opened fully. I checked the spring, it is not broken either. Do you have any tips for fixing this issue?
If you checked that the spring is not broken, I would check the balance of your door tension. It sounds like it is a little on the side of heavy and the door is stopping. Meaning there's a door issue it probably needs a tuneup to where the springs are more balanced, that's where I would start.
