Hello, I'm Kmy! I'm a graphic designer based in Canada, I've been designing for half a decade & mainly focus on brand identity projects. I'm the studio manager of a small graphic design group in a marketing team. I'm studying and working on learning new skills to add to my knowledge, enjoy!
@@s.r.g.9239 this is prior to finishing a logo design, its important to rescale your design to see if it works in smaller sizes. You can have something really nice but when you resize it to 25% it looks absolutely unreadable. Vector designs are scalabe, but that doesn't mean your design is good because it is. Resizing it to make sure you properly did your job is important.
Using GREP is another method, but you can still use find and replace. Both ways work and both have a way to fix it in thw drop down menu. As this isint a grep video, I'm showing another way to do it as new users may be intimidated by grep. Thanks for commenting!
Yes, this one is an older recording :( I've since fixed my mic to help out. I'll try and see if I can make subtitles work and add a warning in my description or maybe re-record the whole thing. Thanks for your input.
Hi Katia, that's a great question :) I can't speak on behalf of other people but for me its all about efficiency. Photoshop is also a good software for web visuals but everything is easier and faster for me on Adobe illustrator as that is how I'm used to working, For example, I prefer illustrators tools over photoshop to create boxes, circles or any other type of pattern/design. I can add custom designs to fonts with the illustrator tools and I can also mass export my designs to multiple formats in one click. Those are only a few of the reasons why I choose it over photoshop, but everyone has their own workflow and as long as you can get the desired product out in the discussed time it doesn't really matter. I do encourage people to try out different workflows though, you never know!
Thanks for the video. I'm still learning how to design in Adobe Illustrator. This was helpful. Did you create styles for your text? If so how did you do that?
Hi Patricia, I usually do paragraph and character styles in Indesign, I know you can do them as well In illustrator. I'll make a small video, I'm better at explaining through examples haha
