Just bought a house with a Myers softener.. I belive there is was set on 2 gallons a minute... the service light was on bit now it's off... service light was on aswell.. what cycle s should I run threw it to make sure it operating properly
I have seen many many videos on how to program the Fleck 5600 Econominder and I had been able to. But YOU are the best, you solved it for me in just two minutes. Thank you ! This video makes it all clear.
How to program the Fleck 5600 Econominder in details: 1 - You need to know the hardness of your water. Mandatory. I have used Home Depot's free test for water hardness. 2 - You need to know the grain capacity of your water softener system (32K, 40K, and so on). Mandatory. 3 - You need to open the documentation for Fleck 5600 and calculate the index depends on the water hardness and number of members in family. 4 - You need to run the regeneration. Put a water softener cleanser in the white tube to make sure all is clean. 5 - After that (2-3h), the white dot will be at the start point. Set the calculated number. That's it. My case: 32K system. Family of 4. 15GPG hardness (Florida). I have a mechanical Fleck 5600EM and can set only time and index. No water hardness parameter is available to set. (32000/15) - (75 x 4) = 1833 It means 1833 gallons of used water between regenerations. I have set 18. After the full loop of the white dot, the regeneration process will be started automatically.
Btw, best explanation I've seen so far for this meter given it doesn't have the Hardness dial on it. I'm in the same situation; Los Angeles, family of 4, 15GPG, ~80gal/day with a 32K setup
Please help me here. So does it mean that you have aligned 18 to the white dot? When the full loop is done, does it mean the white dot, the black pointer (reverse tringle shape next to the Capacity letter), and the number 18 are all aligned?
@@jamrat1000 Yes, I can't. This device counts the gallons only and does the regeneration. All calculations need to be done by self. When you set the hardness level, those calculations are done by device.
@@hook772 Sorry for late response. Yes it does. You set 18 and the counter goes back to zero. After that the regeneration and the process will start again from 18 to 0.
while I will use a torch in less demanding applications on wire shrink connections (say on a 12v connection that was never going to get wet) I would never do so if I thought it was important (like a connection submersed in water). A heat gun/blower would give a better seal and not run the risk of comprising the factory sealed rubber around the wires.
In the 2 day delivery zone,,asurred on time delivery, shipped out from them 5 days after order placed, not a 2 day fedex delivery,, BUT a 7 day , Young girls answering the phones,, make your own conclusion
I did all that you said on the instruction but our tank has not back washed for days now. There’s water stuck inside the hose. What is the setting for the BW? Pls help.
I, for one, really appreciated this video.... (yah, I've endured/learned from lots of the long-winded install videos, but here, just cool to have the images, as a detailed, yet efficient review, nicely done, with jazz...) One question: What's the 2 inch tape you're using? (The install I'm replacing had a significant cable nick, about 3 feet above the pump.... (75 ft down) So yes, I'm with you in wanting to use extra tape -- creating a bumper of sorts. I started today with 3M "rubber" splicing tape...... but oh my, what a pain to use... (1 roll not near enough) Looks like you're using a 2+ in wide tape.... Can't quite make out the name? Also 3M? Is it rated submersible and/or waterproof too? (The pump I'm replacing - yes -- had bits of black electrical tape that had fallen off then got stock around pump intake.... so yes, serious question about what tape you're using. thanks)
What the heck is she talking and spinning about? Complete junk for an instructional video. Should of known a chick trying to explain something technical... 1:42 "Hold down the back and pull up the front" Jeeez..
This is a totally useless “installation” video! Did you put anything in the tank? Did you hook up the pipe inside the tank? Did you put Teflon tape around the top of the tank? So you showed how to nail staples in the ceiling… not much else! No instructions came with my system. The only instruction like thing is two pages that say how to set the time of day on the controller. That is it!
What the instructor needs is enthusiasm to make viewers fully understand apathetically. She is happy with the fact she only knows the operation, not users who watch this shitty video. Drag.
Dear Austin. I have been installing submersible pumps for a very long time and what I pointed out was that good practice was not employed . Firstly, if the poly breaks or becomes detached how do you recover the pump? If the cable snaps while trying to recover the pump you have a pump in the hole to try and recover, this is why a stainless cable or rope is used to pull the pump easily and safely. The staggering of the electrical connecters gives a lower profile as well as additional isolation of the joints. Mate, you might se this as nit picking but I can assure I have never had a pump failure but have pulled pumps that have had "flashovers" from joints side by side. In Australia industry standards demand double insulated powers cables down hole. Anyway as long as you thought it was great thats all that matters.
Had it happen one time and pump got hung up. Took a heavy weight and beat it down to the bottom of the casing and then just put a new pump in and left the old one at the bottom lol
here is a question, iff posdible, pl reply, in our house , our water is being stolen by some out siders, and , due to local problem , and we are unable to find out the actual fault by searching under ground sub mersible pump's pipe lines in any cost from upper ground, and near to me , how do I find out any theft in the under ground pipe line, from the upper side, do not have any machine near to me , and , the installation manual have been lost, and no local technician wanting to open , since they are fully involved in this under ground water stealing case, so ,pl advice me , where and how do I get installation manual and the machine or tools to find out the pipe lines under the ground...I have written several request to the nearest hardware shops, through what's app messeging system, but they did not gave any reply , in any way, and we are in our house living with our aged mother and little child fail in a very situation , could not getting pure drinking water , and very much presdured to find out reliable path to repair the sub mersible pump system, in this very moment, so ,pl give suitable solution sending through what's app messeging system....
0:38 Ooh, it got you. Nice nails too. Maybe if you had clear polish on them 2 coats, it may have helped stave off that 5600 culprit. Thanks for the info.
one of the roughest installations I have seen. No staggering of the motor cable joining , no double insulated cable and worst of all no retrieval wire/rope. Glad they are not doing a job for me!
