Removing my grill didn’t allow for the hand space I needed. I popped out 2-3 plastic pins in each side up under tire fender to loosen the plastic. I reached from below through the gap that allowed.
I hate messing with stock wiring so to save doing the whole patching in cable thing and possibly ruining the wiring get PCBWAY to make a PCB with an edge cut that looks like a bulb then attach a number of connectors to the PCB and use that to distribute and hold the dummy load. Why do this because I can't find the male connector not connected to a bulb holder but meh it's got copper.
What size Rhino Rack do you have! Any idea if this would fit on a Rhino Rack 60x49”? Also would an OVS 270 LTE awning still fit on that rack with this tent? Thanks!
Great video. Like most people I was doing lots of research - either a cheaper fold out model with cover, but takes much longer for set up and tear down, or a nice hard shell model, but 2 or 3 times the price. This was a great find somewhere in the middle, and for basically half the price of an Ikamper.
He said to slide the mounting brackets first without leaving screw and then added end cap. How did he get that screw back in after they were slid into place?
Clean install! Do the amber covers provide more of a yellow look or orange amberish look? They look more on the yellow side thru the video which I’m looking for!
All the websites for this say it can only be mounted on the standard hinge and not the Mopar HD hinge. We ordered a JLU Rubi X and got the HD hinge due to the 35" tire. I spoke with Terraflex about this, but did not get a definitive answer. But it seems to me that it would simply be a matter of using longer studs and possibly longer spacers? Has anyone used this on the Jeep HD hinge?
I have those same headlights and side marker/turn signal combo. The best headlights I have found and the price is VERY reasonable. Contrary to Headlight Revolutions assessment, there is a well defined cutoff line and they have a nice hotspot. I wouldn't trade them for the world. And they are the closest look to the OEM JL headlamps that I really like the look of. I haven't done it yet, but I plan on using a simple pair of motorcycle single wire run turn adapters on the side markers to get the parking light/amber turn signal functionality.
I added Halo's & turn signals first and all is well. I've attempted to wire in side markers so they flash also. Halo turns yellow now and doesn't flash. Also drl is no longer halo but rather headlights come on. Where am I going wrong? I haven't installed the load equalizer yet. They came with tail lights. A connector came with halo''s. I think I may be joining in wrong whit wire on turn signal and looping power
by far the best tutorial for this tent. I have the full size Bushveld and you answered most of the questions I had. Thank you very much for that. Please keep updating.
Looks like they listen to reviews as I just installed mine and the latches are a bit improved, although still tricky/tight for that first teardown. I'm hoping it works a bit smoother as I keep getting used to it and maybe get some of those hinge steps as trying to get up high enough for tucking in that front part on a gladiator was a bit painful 😅. Thanks for the video, can't wait to actually put mine to use...OH and they do now have the awning available...will have that testing soon as well
I bought this tent because of your video and you did not mention there is a huge design flaw with it.. Theres a 2in gap in the middle of the tent on both sides where the rods unfold creating a gap for insects to get inside the tent... Nice one
@@dougcoleburn1579 it was pretty straight forward.. plug and play.. the DRL's had to be cut into the center line of the tirn signal as the install shows...
Great job man! Hey, are those gaskets utilized for the right side of the carrier included with the kit? I know that the spacers do come with the carrier for the left side. Lastly, painters tape will work best, I think during the painting task, where you corrected and removed the light rust.
