It really made a lot of statements - first of all, biggest statement was the owner did not have any taste... it is so ugly... that I suppose Carl Barks was the designer.....
Great review! My wife and I absolutely love the Mercedes E220 Cabrio, and we’re seriously considering getting one. However, we have a 3-year-old child, and I’m curious if anyone here has experience using this car with a young child. How practical is it for daily use with a toddler? Any tips or advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!
Now THAT’S a Cadillac! True luxury. I’m 6’6” & loved the big roomie cars. A Cadillac now isn’t distinguishable from any other car on the road. Everything looks the same now.
Does this car have power steering? If not. that would explain the huge wheel and slow steering. But, because many cars didn't have power steering, people were accustomed to huge steering wheels back then. It's a very pretty car, although I prefer the low-slung look of the 1959 and later models. By comparison, this looks boxy and dated.
I wonder if GM got their features from SAAB 9-5, or the other way around? I am not an enthusiast of GM because of how they destroyed SAAB, and they made a mess of OPEL!
The last of the Mohican’s. I absolutely love this car. The front wheel drive North Star devilles were also great to, unfortunately it has the dreaded North Star motors
Whatever happened to Nissan's Infinity luxury brand? I've talked to several mechanics, and they all feel cars have gotten over complicated. Parts are another concern! You need to be in the high six digit income to have these vehicles!
My dad was a Mopar mechanic for 47 years. Once in a while he would take cars like this for a road test. He would drive it home for lunch and then take it out in the country for the road test. A few times I got lucky and he would take me with him. Yes, I was a Mopar kid.
What fun! My great-grandmother ordered her 58 Eldorado Custom in 57. I remember when she got the call saying it would arrive by either train or truck on a Friday. I just remember it only had 8, yes, 8 miles when it arrived. Back then, you had to go through a rather lengthy and complex break-in period. My Great-Grandmother didn't drive, so this was all gone over by the dealer and her driver. I was only four, but she told me to go to the other Cadillac we were trading in and search the seats for change. I was excited to find quite a bit. The new 58 Eldo sedan was Gunmetal and looked from outer space. People honked at us, and when we finally got home, my Grandmother had the driver put it away. When her driver entered the house, she told him he needed to take a cab back down to the dealer as she had left something in the glove box. She had secretly gifted him a 4-year-old standard Cadillac Sedan, which she had not traded in. He was over the moon! They had detailed it, and it looked brand new. He had worked for her since her husband passed, and she wanted to show her appreciation. The new Eldo was something else and in our town of 6,000 the only one in town. She got newer cars but always kept that one. When she passed in the late 70's it only had 26k miles on it.
