A few years ago but the train is still running and the cost has not increased that much. They have a Web Site with the schedule. This is one of the shore excursions I was thinking to purchase directly over the Internet in the port before, because both Cruise and individual passengers are riding the same train and I could save some $$$ but in the end the threat of the train having a technical mishap and miss the boat was stronger and I paid cruise line price just for the insurance of handling shore excursions delays.
1. far is the Seattle airport from the port? Like how much did you pay for Uber, if you don’t mind please? 2. Also do you have any budget hotel recommendations? They are all so expensive and costs about $70 for transport to port. 3. Things to do in Seattle if we fly in the day before? 4. What about the weather when we travel to Alaska in June? 5. Also…excursions are so expensive. When we get to a port, do they have local ones we can go on that are not as expensive as booking one with the ship? Any and all advice would be appreciated. There is a train to downtown for a few $. The hotels can arrange a shuttle to cruise, $20-40/pers. Always in open ocean it will be quite cold and windy but once inside fjord it will be in the 70s. There are always local excursions much cheaper than cruise but if they are late the ship will leave w/o you and it will be ... complicated.
There is a crude map at 0:40. Sadly, the "Dominica Aerial Tram" (aka the canopy cable car) has ceased operations on financial grounds.
