Yeah if you get close enough you can see that. Probably possible to swap a few of the vegetation files with the new ones, under the same file name. But I haven't messed with it too much.
this will be the biggest storm in a teacup for 2024 but rather respect other platforms and don't be "that guy" when xplane users did it to us p3d simmers, it was bad enough
@@TheFlightSimDeck I have Orbx True Earth for UK North, Central and South installed in XP12, it is the XP12 version but I tried to also install in XP11 by just coptying it over but that failed, I obviously am not doing it right or it doesn't work in XP11.
I can't wrap my head around buying and installing sub-par scenery after buying the sim. I have X-Plane 11 with zero payware (I don't buy payware for any sim/game), but I haven't touched it since msfs 2020 came out. FS2024 scenery is absolutely amazing - and it's included with the sim. I get that others swear by X-Plane, but I honestly don't think it even compares to out-of-the-box MSFS 2020 or 2024.
@@suddenlysolo2170 When I bought it, the world had not seen MSFS yet, so this was top of the line scenery. if you did still use it, you’d be just as good with free Ortho honestly, vs TrueEarth. I only use it because it makes the west coast look far more true to life than default. I use MSFS a lot too. I’m just not a believer of using one sim only. Because if we all collectively abandon the other sims, then we have a single monopoly over the whole hobby. I have appreciation for each one. MSFS is still pretty weak if you like to work with complex systems failures, and I favor the Zibo 737 over the PMDG. But I also have many planes I favor on MSFS.
The scenery in this video is exclusively an X-Plane 11 product, and it was a segway to talking about X-Plane 12 at the 12 second mark where it switches to XP12 footage. I appreciate the support, even though it was an arbitrary thing to point out from the overall focus.
A really good view on my opinion I enjoyed it. I love watching videos of aircraft when I fly my MD-11 or any aircraft in any simulator. I like the ending though and I agree. I have flown from Adelaide to Melbourne in Microsoft flight simulator 2020. Xplane 11 I need to get. Xplane 12 I’ve heard they’ve made some good improvements and it is worth it. Just gotta wait for a few more aircraft that I like. And prepared all in a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 TFDI and rotate Sim They flew very fantastically and did exactly. I wanted the camera system in Microsoft flights. I don’t really like much and I couldn’t really get ATC to give me clearance. I don’t. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I clicked on clearance and nothing popped up so yeah, I don’t know. But other than that, I can all the difference And I only care about the aircraft. I am a big sucker for a McDonnell Douglas aircraft. And if you’re looking for a free DC 10 flight has one the developers part time they’re working on and the aircraft is going to be released released for 2020 2024. I haven’t really heard them so much about So good, super enjoyable. Can’t wait to see. More
@@jacobb1g I was getting 35fps with the Zibo 737 at LAX the other day. That’s the lowest end. In GA planes it’s in the 40/50’s. Varies with settings too.
I agree! They’ve seemed to abandon it. No P3D v6 support, and no announcement of working on it for MSFS. The Captain Sim version is dreadfully awful, once you see and hear how it’s actually supposed to be. I know they wanted to get their MD-11 released. But it would be a real shame to not circle back to this plane, which is how they made a name for themselves to begin with.
@@TheFlightSimDeck I think that we will see a 717 from TFDI in the future once the MD-11 is sorted out properly because the MD-11 and the 717 a lot of their systems are actually the same so it would save on a lot of testing. All that need to do is just model the systems that unique to the 717 and get some 717 pilots on board like they did with the MD 11 it could take probably at least two years to complete the project. That’s my best guest though
@@opa.1601 which sim? Most likely you have an old AIRAC cycle installed. That can be updated via the Navigraph website, but it costs a small fee. The cycle is updated each month in the real world and sim.
Dan - honest opinion of the Delta Hawk engine. Their "sales pitch" sounds incredible. If their "hype" is true, {and that's the $1000 question} then we can cut engine failure at least in half maybe more. But somehow we got to build better engines. Of course I have ranted the last 3 years about airports installing arresting nets at ends of runways and at 1/2 mile beyond the end of runway. With an arresting net, you would STILL do everything that you promote, it's just that "now" you would have somewhere to stick the aircraft into. You fly straight to the net landing zone and touch down and go right into the net just like the ,military jets used to do in the early days. When I get my 182 I intend on flying all over the USA promoting my idea. I do NOT want to earn one penny off of it, I just want to see nets installed. That's my mission.

once i download the navigraph data and put it into the custom data folder they stay there even if i bought only a monthly subscription once and then didnt buy anything else? im thinking about it since my simbrief flight plans arent importable because a lot of checkpoints are missing
@@viczeek6907 Hi! Yes they will remain there until you decide to update again. The nav data is updated every 28 days. Mostly minor changes in each cycle that most likely won’t affect what you’re trying to do. Only once it gets many months or years out of date that’s when you run into those situations where points are missing. If you fly on ATC networks a lot they usually require the latest nav data but even if you’re off by a few months it’s generally fine.
Another question for you. I’m just starting out here and ALOT of this is foreign to me. What do you suggest to start out learning what a lot of these rudimentary functions are?
i wish the raindrops were effected by the wipers... there's a reason they are not using the wipers during this video lol... its like they are an inch above the screen and don't touch the glass, very immersion breaking! ... why have wipers if they dont wipe water away!? lol
