Welcome to Mandy's Morgue of Horror! My name is Amanda, and this channel is where I talk about horror movies, books, tv, and more!
Previously, I've worked as a horror journalist writing for outlets including Bloody-Disgusting, Dread Central, Wicked Horror, Blumhouse.com, FEARnet.com, and more! I've also written about true crime for Crime Online, and I've even written about celebs for The List.
I don't have the orginal to compare this too. I remember seeing the vhs cover but not the movie. With that being said the story was generic but I really had a great time with this movie. I enjoyed its camera work choices and the young van helsing character of Mark. I liked the movie enough to want to check out the original one after seeing the trailer of it on max.
The only thing worse than censorship beeping is girls and guys who are woke complaining about things that aren't bad or important and creating problems that aren't this just because they are bored.
Well that's not the right reason to not do it. You shouldn't do it. So fight against censorship tyranny by never doing this. Stick it to you tube by never doing this. Also never do this because it hurts our ears and annoys us and ruins our lives.
This is such a bummer. As stylish as it looks, its also got this Creepshow the series cheapness to it that's so intense its distracting. Some scenes are lit to almost look like early 00's BBC. A missed opportunity on just about every level.
Thank you so much for not bleeping out swear words. There is a girl who has a video on here talking horror movies who swears all the time and everytime she does it makes a really loud and annoying beep noise. Which makes her video impossible to watch because it is so annoying.
I just watched the most unbearably disturbing film. Do not watch it! It is called, “Nothing Bad Can Happen”. PS - Burnt Offerings is an old favorite. I love Karen Black, and had the delight to work with her in NYC.
Deadstream, Deadstream, Deadstream, Deadstream, Deadstream, Deadstream, Deadstream, Deadstream. If you have not watched Deadstream you need to do so asap. Once you see it, you will add it to your annual Halloween tradition.
I remember watching Ghost Watch when it was aired on the BBC. (I was very young 😂) And it scared the hell out of me..... I had forgotten about it, thanks for reminding me😂.

I agree! It lack depth from the characters, the town . I enjoyed that in the book how everyone is going through a personal struggle especially Ben with the Marsten house, his past and father Callahan with his faith and know all the dirty laundry of the town. I feel like that’s the point of the book , not Barlow but the town and everyone in it
Check out a French movie called satan !!!! I highly rate it and a German movie called hagazusa is good and as above so below is pretty decent and I don’t usually like found footage horror but they as above so bellow does that style well 🧟♂️💀⚰️🎃🤡🐐
Excited for you to experience for the first time, so many bangers listed here. The Innocents, Burnt Offerings, Ghostwatch, The Haunting of Julia, Diabolique, Don't Look Now, Scary Stories..., Late Night..., Girl Walks Home..., and Exorcist III are all great!
Man, I never got to see the ending of The River and I always wondered what happened. Gonna have to go finish it finally! I think Tubi still has the Hammer House of Horror series that was an anthology from the 80s that is pretty great and worth checking out. There's also an old BBC show called Supernatural (1977) and I think all of the episodes are on youtube. It's a fun gothic horror anthology that I binged a few years back and probably will revisit if I get through my current watch list more quickly than I expected
I want to see Chapelwaite. I love Jerusalem's Lot. I'm also watching Wednesday and Ash vs. the Evil Dead. I may have to also rewatch some Masters of Horror 🎃👻
My favorite horror series... Banshee, an action crime series not actually horror but featuring more psychos, serial killers and horror violence than most horror franchises. Friday the 13th the series, a really fun 80's occult curse of the week show. Evil, a psychologist, a priest and an engineer investigate increasingly demonic activity. Twin Peaks, a folksy procedural melodrama that drifs into a nightmarish waking fever dream. Night Visions, a hidden gem anthology series; it's on youtube, there's a link in my halloween playlist.
