Who made this list? Bryndan is #1 by a large margin. Even if you go by the show, Jon Snow wasn’t even a bastard and wasn’t even the prince that was promised. All Blackfyre did was rebel and die.
So true... Brynden is by this point, the most important character in the ASOIAF lore... Plain and simple... The upcoming books are so severely dependent on him... Come Winter and Spring, it'll all make sense...
Tommen who? I mean tommen and viserys both lack strenght but both are kind and try to be wise and good so they would be somewhere in the middle i think!
Although a tyrant, Joffrey is actually way ahead if his time in terms of progressing from Feudalism and having a Standing Army in his scene where he is having his wedding kit fitted. Literally wanted a Westerosi Revolution in Military Affairs.
He explains it. Pay the taxes and bend the knee or I'll crush you. This happened in the real world because of the necessity. Became explicitly the case prior to the Napoleonic Wars. Imagine Westeros as Europe. Could you (The English) fight Napoleon if the Count Of Wessex and his inbred mates decided not to get stuck in? Joffrey is literally trying to 1648 Westphalianise Westeros but he doesnt know it cos hes a child, and is surrounded by mongs who want his crap hat. But the Idea is there. A unified Westerosi State with a standing army would have put those pale wierdos north of the wall to bed pretty sharp.
@@TV-ge3uj you will bend the knee to a unified Westerosi State or be crushed. Simple as. Afford? the point of the Bravosi bank, which Tywin knew, was that they have no enforcement. Whos going to come and collect my debt as the state? Some faceless dork? Aye they might kill me but the state and its institutions remain. A standing army could smash Bravos.
ok three with which i disagree... stannis should be higher, renly that pompous brat one above joffrey, and dany... well she can stay where she is but i think its less that westeros broke her but we were ripped from our illusions about her (personally a ruler that has to constantly threaten to burn everyone that doesnt kneel before her and whose reaction on dificulties is most of the time "dracarys" is not who i want for myself). I would also put tywin on the same level as dany, they have both the tendancy to use a lot of violance to break opposition. Also... dont we need a an "e"-level for joffrey? Renly on "d" the for his arrogance and lack of brain and Joffrey on "e" for all of this and for beeing a total ass?
daily reminder that jon has no right to the throne, just because his father was rhaegar doesn't make him targaryen, if anything he could change his surname to sand because he was born in dorne or waters because he was squirted into lyanna in crownlands. but back to the main topic, he's still a brother of nights watch, even if he claims his death and resurrection fulfilled that vow, nobody except few brothers of nights watch saw that, ain't nobody gonna believe that and nobody will agree for him to become a ruler. And also there's no proof of him being lyanna's son other than bran's word so ye, nobody will put him on the throne based on that.
solid points! But Rhaegar and Lyanna were married and thats in the books of maesters in the citadel which kinda could maybe prove Jons heritage and claim.
Putting Bran on the top is just weird. He has zero experience leading anyone. And as some other pointed out, Stannis would probably make a good king. Strong principles and morals, even though he had the "burn his daughter live" s--t going on. He was always fair, is a good commander and not a total psychopath.
Bran is so high cause he became the three eyed raven, he knows everything that happens in whole kingdoms everywhere everytime no one can fool him properly and he wont let his feelings fail his judgement. He might not be experienced like Stannis but he has already served as a Lord Of Winterfell at young age in difficult times. and can you imagine king who can always search right answer to every possible situation from the history like him. His knowledge has no boundaries and thats why i put him over everyone else
@@E-LABB That doesn't make him a good ruler. If anything, his new-found nihilism and distance from humanity would make him a horrible ruler, considering he know longer "feel anything", and probably don't even have any sense of right or wrong. Also, he "served" as lord for what, a few months? And with help from everyone else. He barely did anything.
@@andchi2000 He clearly seems to have a sense of what´s right or wrong in the series. He is willing to fight against the evil and try to protect the humanity from any treats. He doesn´t need feeling based ruling methods cause he already knows everything.
"Has no real claim to the throne" Dude, Renly even said it himself to Catelyn. Boiled down, it's something along the lines of "Robert had no claim to the throne, but he and your husband took it by force. Why can't I do the same thing?" Also, what did you smoke thinking that freaking Littlefinger would be on the same level as the Lannisters under Tywin? Stannis should be B tier, Jon and Ned should be S tier and Danny should be D tier at least with the shit end of season 8. Hell, she should get a tier for herself like M for Mad Queen
theoreticly yes, but robert actually went to war for his throne while renly was.... what was he doing again? Ah yes, he died before his very first battle also after reading the books and rewatching the books.... i kind of agree with your opinion about dany though i would let her stay in c. And stannis should be either in b or a!
Cersei and Tywin are so low because their cruelty side. Like killing Elia Martell and her kids via orders to mountain. Great rulers like Lord Stark dont do that kind of stuff, not even in war. Tywin is a leader but too cruel. Littlefinger is in same level cause he didnt enjoy cruelty, he just lusts for power. Dany is in B like in perspective if the losses she had in westeros wouldnt brake her in the madness. She wasnt evil in my opinion, Westeros and losses there like Jorah, Rhaegal, Viserion, Missandei, etc just broke her in the end in my opinion.
maybe because he prioritized this religion above everything else. He lost the faith of his men and killed his daughter. Maybe not the best mind to rule
Man who is willing to murder his own brother and burn her daughter alive for the throne and power is not fitting to rule in my opinion. Also great military leaders don´t always make great kings like Renly said in S1.
@@AwaisAli-qn9in Man who is so easily manipulated to do so cruel things isnt best fit for the throne in my opinion but i respect and understand your opinion too! Stannis is fair and honorable person but Melisandre was in fact his downfall.
It was such a dissapointment when they named Bran the king in the end.Like, wtf, at least Jon Snow if not Daenerys, but Bran who almost didn't anything in the show? No thanks.
I wished dany or Jon too to be honest but Brans knowledge doesnt have any boundaries he basicly knows almost everything and thats why i believe he makes great and fair ruler.
@@E-LABB I understand your point about Bran's extensive knowledge and his potential to be a fair ruler. However, I believe that Bran shouldn't have been named king in the end of GoT for a few reasons. His character arc throughout the series was more about becoming the Three-Eyed Raven, which seemed to distance him from human emotions and the ability to connect with people on a personal level. This detachment might hinder his ability to empathize and effectively rule a kingdom. Additionally, the story built up characters like Jon and Daenerys as potential leaders who had clear motivations and a strong connection with the people of Westeros. Naming Bran as king felt somewhat disconnected from the narrative arcs that were established throughout the series.
