Hands down the most beautiful, body positive movie ever made. It’s a shame this film gets so much hate. It taught me that beauty isn’t only about looks when I was younger. Fantastic film. Edit for a typo.

This is a horrific turn of events. But there is zero point to it. The father is “overprotective” of his daughter, so he locks her away and forces her to become a s*x slave?? Parents are naturally overprotective, but they are also trusting. It’s their job to set up their kids to be comfortable in the real world when they grow up. It sounds like this father was a sick degenerate who used his “protective father” image to abuse his daughter because he was jealous of other men that might be interested in her. In regards to the film, I want to take a moment to appreciate the acting here. The father was portrayed by Judd Nelson from The Breakfast Club- almost didn’t recognize him, but I saw his big brown eyes!
i dont like this movie though it gives mixed messages it kinda makes fun of the girl being so fat. but then in the end gives the message that he should love someone like that anyways. the problem is the woman is GROSSLY overweight . and im sorry NOT for me. and btw. there is nothing wrong with not settling.for finding someone with BOTH innner and outer beauty. and trust me with my vast amount of time online chatting with mostly i assume overweight women i dont see any real "quality" improvement over someone so overweight vs someone who isnt. so why settle?
This movie is absolutely, *terrible* 👎🏼😑! The theme and plot of the whole film’s story is over simplified and overrated. In fact I would argue that there is a difference between someone being *shallow* compared to those who are; *superficial.* *SPOILERS* - if a person is ‘shallow,’ they have certain expectations and desires that are both common and natural. By design: being shallow, does came off as a bad thing, but in a general sense; it can also be, a *good thing.* Especially from both sides of the spectrum; involving the men & the women. Now; if someone is ‘superficial,’ then that particular person would be labelled as: spoiled, self-entitled, vain and *fake.* Complete with a hollow void in their hearts and souls, that nothing will ever be truly real and satisfying for their lives and wellbeing, that would never be fulfilled for one’s need and desires to get by in life.
Why not just go carnivore, shed those pounds. Oh wait because the establishment lied to us and put the fear in us. And save the healthcare crisis, the toll taken on the medical system so we can allocate more human resources into engineering, energy, art etc. Thinking in real not nomimal terms. I don't mind inflation 'cause I'm levered but I'd like to see humanity solving bigger problems than unnecessary metabolic syndrome You think men and women cruel? I've been called the nicest guy by my peers even though i don't set out to be nice. I do strive to have manners and class, for my own vanity. But nature. Nature is cruel and ruthless. Have you ever seen a baby cuckoo push the legitimate nestmates off the nest it is a parasite in? Humanity can be shallow. We can also be liars and deceivers. That's life. That's the world
Fun Fact: Jack Black turned down the Farrelly Brothers' offer to play the lead role of Me, Myself & Irene, but instead agreed to do their next film Shallow Hal instead.
That's true. Unfortunate people in whatever way: looks, money, skills... are not better for what they lack. As a matter of fact, a lot of times this actually makes them worse as they become more bitter and resentful of those who fare better.
Its not a happy film .its irritating to know the father who should protect his child was sleeping with her making all these babies .he should rot in jail .
🤮 😱 Being pregnant can harm a woman's health severely. Unwanted pregnancy cannot be ordered by any other, even though they are parent? I hope that human races can have the external womb, then I have my ovum baby with it? just like the Netflix movie 'I AM MOTHER'. 😄 It would be interesting to watch the change from an egg to a baby, also I believe that I won't lose motherhood feeling for the baby? if I can find my traits from the baby? In addition, this world does not need to worry about controlling of the number of the human races population of this planet. + Miss Claire is 김보경 +
Wow! In women's fantasies it's no longer enough for them to marry millionaires. They now fantasize about marrying billionaires! Inflation, I guess! LOL! Hypergamy apparently knows no bounds.
Sorry but that's just a bad review..for one she's not even part of the real family, for second she doesn't really care about Clementine, they weren't "inseparable", and as a third the plot of the movie is more about her treading the edge of her sanity because she feels a connection to the killer, hence her courtroom costume and her taking pictures of herself in the house of the victim at the end. So much lacking from the review it's like you didn't understand the movie. I get the comments saying the movie sucked because well your review sucked
That ending is brutal. I don't get why they don't just stay in the comfort. Isn't that better than hunting human beings and eating them? Isn't the girl going to have to do the same that other people did to her to survive?
Exactly. Shows how oblivious the mother was. Her husband shows zero remorse or concern for the fact that his youngest daughter (who he doesn’t get along with) just suddenly disappeared one day. He then proceeds to spend several hours a day in the basement with the door locked and doesn’t allow anyone else to come down. How the hell did she not immediately put 2 and 2 together?
@@superjackster0165 Not just that but he was obsessed with her and her every move, I feel like even if it were when he was at work I would have to go down there and see what’s up.
What I don't understand about it is that he sees not only women differently, but men as well. I thought it was him seeing people for what they are on the inside out. For example Rosemary, and the other women he's met were all unconventionally attractive, but he saw them in a perception from their inner beauty, which made them look and appear super attractive in his eyes. It's also like the nurse who looked old and shrewd in his eyes, but she was seen as traditionally attractive to the world's standards. He also had the same experience with Rosemary's ex and her ex's Hawaiian friend. Both of the men appeared very attractive in his eyes, which made him feel very insecure around Rosemary, but when his controlled vision to see the inner person of others was taken away he instead saw them for who they physically were. The two men were now seen completely different, yet with very similar features than before making him feel different as a person, he started basing them off of who they were as people than only the physicality of what they were. He felt ashamed for who he was as a person more than his looks and felt inferior in comparison to her ex and his friend. However, the only thing I never understood was how come the only people he didn't see change were his best friend, his boss, the couple he works with, the guy who walks on all his fours, and Jill? How come he didn't get to see what they looked like on the inside at all? Also, the writing doesn't make any sense either.
The hypnosis worked only on people he never met/didn't know. The people he did know like Jill, his best friend, his boss, the guy who walked on all fours, Hal could not see their inner beauty because the hypnosis would be nullified by the fact that he already seen their real actual physical appearances already. Also, he knows what their real actual personalities are like.
@@restoresto2039 every movie to match the script with the movie's story line, message, and main idea so there's understanding for the audience when they watch it
Theres this thing in literature called "suspension of disbelief". Essentially accepting the impossibility for the sake of entertainment. That said yea it does seem like it only works on people he's never met. Some people are likely look approximately thevsame as they are inside
