such a beautiful sounding motor. its still the same today and you can hear it across the store which i think is pretty neat. the elevator in potterybarn is getting bad, but that just means its getting fun. its vandalized af, doors shake on way up and down, piston sounds really bad, and the icing on the cake ITS MORE LOW ON OIL THAN A LEAKING CAR
Did you film the elevators at the Canadian Tire on Sheppard Avenue East? There’s something very interesting about those ones. They were installed and modernized by Schindler 330A.
Here’s another mod that should’ve been a destination dispatch mod. I still wish they kept the cabs cause the new ones don’t really blend in with this Hotel
I haven’t seen any hotels in Toronto that were destination dispatch so most likely I could say installing destination dispatch is probably more expensive than regular floor buttons. It could be having to do with the cost of why they didn’t install destination dispatch while modernizing these elevators.
The mod would’ve been useful if they just upgraded to Destination Dispatch and not Re-Do the cabs, That’s what they’re doing to 18 York (PwC) in Toronto. Also the cabs should’ve been left Untouched… This mod was a waste of Time AND money
Absolutely ridiculous that they've modded this early! These elevators aren't even 25 years old yet, the original could've lasted at least another 10-15 yrs. This is a huge waste of time and money in my opinion.
Kind of surprised to see these elevators key carded. The reason is because I noticed a lot of the hotels in Niagara Falls ON don’t have that system like the Hilton Hotel. My idea for elevator keycard readers in hotels is in cities for very high populations.
