Question: Say you only need to run the heater only 2-3 hours a day, can you fill the tank initially then use it everyday for 2-3 hours until the fuel is used up? Or does a full tank has to be used at once lighted?
That is a great question, the answer is yes…you can fill the tank initially and run it off and on as needed. Just because you fill the tank does not mean you have to burn it all nonstop. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Take care!
That’s a false statement and I’m only saying that because I experienced having to run this heater nonstop during a cold snap that brought negative temperatures. The reality is that it can be expensive depending on where you live.
Wow, that’s a good deal! Glad to hear you snagged that up, I would’ve done the same. If you need any help or just want to recap how to put a new wick in before actually doing it, I have a video on the channel walking you through step by step, if you need it. You are already on the right track to success heating with kerosene simply because of the research you’re doing…aka getting your learn on. My husband and I used kerosene heaters in a small 900 sq ft house that had no central heat and air for 4 years. The problem I ran into when we first started was that I couldn’t seem to find QUALITY videos covering kerosene heaters, specifically DynaGlo…so I made my own to help get the information out there. If you have specific questions that I haven’t covered in my videos, just drop a comment on and I’ll get it answered for you. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. Welcome! Check out my other kerosene heater videos on the channel, I have all of them in a playlist. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Take care!
Happy to hear we were able to help and you’re getting one at a good price! There’s so much you can do with this simple table saw. I’ll be posting some of my own projects soon. Thanks so much for watching and supporting my channel. If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Take care!
This is an info short, not a step by step. If you need or are looking for the full step by step instructions to change the wick I have a full video covering that on my channel.
We keep a large stainless spillproof dog bowl of water on top of our china-glow heater. Keeping that humidity in the air make a HUGE difference. Sometimes we add scented drops for humidifiers to the water and it works gr8!
We bought 2 blue 55 gal drums (cheap on FB marketplace) and fill them by small 5 gal cans over the summer with K-1 when the price is cheaper. Come cold weather, we are ready and no standing out in the cold filling tanks, waiting in lines, paying high prices, etc. We store the drums in our garage and have a battery operated pump to fill our blue 5 gal cans and keep them on the porch for filling heater.
That sounds like a great setup you created…smart thinking. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Take care!
Just picked up 2 of these bad boys for $80 in basically brang new condition. The guy only used them twice and his wife didn't like the smell. I brought them home, wiped them down, and fired them up. They worked great!!! Be sure to always keep a spare wick on hand just for an emergency situation. BTW, great video! I wanted to see the tear down and wick replacement procedure, just in case, I need to do it. THANKS!!!
Wow, what a deal you snagged up! Happy for you! That guy didn’t even have them broke in yet and she was already complaining? More than likely what she was smelling was the high heat paint if they were still brand new, takes a couple burns before it goes away. Been using these heaters for years…we stock up on wicks, igniters, batteries, fuel, and additive over the summer when everything is cheaper. Glad you enjoyed the video, I have an entire kerosene heater playlist on my channel, check it out. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Sheetz has the cleanest fuel tanks and best K1, I am a tank installer contractor and they do far and away better at keeping tanks clean and free of water than any other gas station.
Hi 👋 You may not be aware or familiar with this, but in some states (definitely where I live) some gas stations have a separate pump located off to the side of the gas station property that is strictly for clear, k1 kerosene and by law they are required to label it. The clear, k1 kerosene sold at gas stations is the same as what you find on major retail store shelves. The only difference is that it is not prepackaged which is why there is a huge price difference. There are different grades of kerosene so you have to pay attention to how the pump is labeled if purchasing from the gas station. I do know in the north east states and major metropolitan areas it is very difficult to find clear, k1 kerosene sold at gas stations and this is mainly due to state/city regulations and this causes people to have to resort to buying the prepackaged clear k1 kerosene from major retailers such as Rural King, tractor supply, Walmart, etc. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! @@americanbackroadcreations that's great that you can buy K1 in your area gas station at a reasonable price; I wish I could say the same in WI, where the lower-grade gas station kerosene would quickly foul a heater wick.
Wow, I want to thank you so much. This greatly helped me in the assembly of my table. Saw you know the directions really just did not convey what I needed to know. Your video was awesome. Thank you very much. Greatly appreciate it. ❤
This is exactly why I love RU-vid, you can learn anything on here! So glad my video helped. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Take care!

Sorry for such a late response, trying to catch up on all the comments on the channel today. So I can get a wick to last a really long time, way more than 2 winter seasons with proper dry burning and maintenance (using it as primary heat). I’ve had viewers tell me they can get as high as 10 plus seasons. I just prefer to change it out more frequently simply because wicks are cheap and it’s a piece of mind. Did you remove all of the styrofoam underneath by the gears? That’s the only thing I can think of that would be preventing the blade from moving up and down or on an angle.
Thank you! Very helpful video. I just bought this model today and swore I wouldn’t buy a table saw until I could afford a SawStop so no fingers were lost…but I’m going to be extra cautious and learn my way through it!
I’m so excited for you! If you’ve never used a machine like this, it’s a little bit of a learning curve but you can do it! Sawstops are great but as long as you are always paying attention and alert to where your fingers are you’ll be fine. Don’t forget you have the black push bar to help you keep your fingers away from that blade. I like to use a scrap piece of wood in my left hand and the push bar in my right hand to guide the piece I’m cutting through the blade area. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! Yes! The manual for this unit actually recommends having a carbon monoxide detector and to have a window cracked open 1/4 to 1/2 inch in the room you are using it in to allow fresh air flow. Hi! This heater has a 1.9 gallon fuel tank. I don’t know much about maintaining greenhouse temperatures in the winter…I really don’t know if this would work for that. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Take care!
Hi again! This is the Amazon link for this wick: www.amazon.com/Dyna-Glo-Replacement-Wick-Ignitor-RW16CP/dp/B074845N75 RW16CP is the wick model number for this exact kerosene heater I use in my videos. It comes with a wick AND the ignitor. Even if you don't need the ignitor part right away, its good to have on hand because they always seem to fail at the most inconvenient time. Of course there are other stores that sell this product...Lowe's, Menards, and Tractor Supply. Sorry it's taken so long to respond. Summer is always a busy time of year for us. Hope this info helps! As always, thanks for watching and supporting my channel! If you haven't already, please consider subscribing. Take care!
Great video! I have one question: do you have an estimate of the item's weight with the box included? I'm planning to import this item, and while the manual states it weighs 29 pounds, I'm unsure how much weight the packaging adds.
Hi! I'm sorry, I really do not know how to answer this question because I no longer have my original box it came in. I think I would estimate about an additional 5 pounds or so for the packaging (the box it comes in is pretty big). I wish I had a better answer for you, but it's my best guess. Thanks so much for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Corey and I have recently invested in a miter saw and we filmed the unboxing/setup for it. I'm hoping to have it edited and uploaded soon. Summer is always a crazy time of year for us, we have so much to get done and so little time. Keep an eye out for that miter saw video, I'm working on putting it together. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! If you haven't already, please consider subscribing. Take care!

If you want something that'll still be around in 10 years or more spend an extra 70 or 80 bucks and get a homeowner model steel or echo. It will last way longer with less problems and you can actually get replacement parts when it breaks. A steel or an echo will last a million times longer than the garbage box. Store brands like Craftsman, Black, Max Murray any of those. They're all they're all. Basically the same weed eater and they're all just disposable. The straight shaft steals and echoes that are the residential model will run you around 220 and they will last 10 plus years easily and if you don't abuse it
Love the Echo brand, hate their prices. $220 price tags don’t exist where I live. Anyways, I think I’m going on almost 3 years now with this weed eater and using it at least once a week. So for us…it’s been worth it. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel. If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Take care!
@@americanbackroadcreations that sucks. Where I am in Missouri you can get the srm 225 and the Stihl fs56 for around 220 usually. Glad it's still running though
I’m a city kid who just moved to the suburbs with my older parents. It’s time to tackle the backyard and this video was so helpful in getting me started with my trimmer so I can fix the yard this summer.
Don’t let this trimmer intimidate you, it really is simple to use. Couple tips for you…the premixed 40:1/50:1 ratio two stroke fuel that you can buy at Walmart works awesome (fuel is a slight blue color when you pour it in). You’ll hear of people making their own premix…it’s never the same as what you can get at the store and you can actually ruin the motor quicker. Also, whenever you’re done using the machine or put it in storage, make sure you empty the fuel out of it. Doing that keeps the fuel from eating away at the fuel lines over time and can help make your trimmer last longer. Glad you found my video helpful! Thanks for watching and supporting my channel! If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing. Happy weed eating!
Love it! I use it a lot for pallet wood projects. I cut pallet planks, 2x4’s, etc. I do wish the blade that came with it had more teeth on it though so it’s not such a rough cut. I was able to get about a year’s worth of use out of the blade that came with the saw. I’m at the point where I’ve purchased my replacement blade. That’s my only complaint with it, otherwise it’s a great budget table saw that gets the job done. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. If you haven’t already, please consider subscribing.
