Hello Robbie we don't have this ATSC3.0 here in Europe we have DVB-T2 over the terrestrial TV reception. But what I ask myself why are using this external Fat-Stick when you can use the network and stream all this channels over the 5G network so we have here in use? All people they I see if I go by Subway (Tube) are watching on there Mobile TV during the drive with the Subway (Tube). We've here everywhere a network like the 4G or 5G network.
That is what the broadcasters are doing here in North America. And we have that here to. Most people use cell phones and have data. But Data is very expensive in Canada. I don't have it on my plan. Also was disappointed there is not a app for Linux. There should be. There will be some day.
In the 80s and early 90sBefore the internet and DirectTV, Satellite TV was very cool because all major TV networks had unencrypted signals. I would watch TV shows being sent from production studios to the networks free of ads about a week before they aired on the networks. There were backhauls of sports that were not available via cable. At the time, less than 1% of the public had the technology to watch satellite TV, so the networks did not care. Now with advancement of technology and encryption that content is available via high-speed internet. I personally have high speed internet and the income to pay for what I want to watch. While satellite technology still interests me, there is nothing available via satellite that I cannot get easier via the internet. Satellite TV would be a great value If I lived remotely somewhere where there was no high-speed internet.
So true, I think it will be cool if there is a zombie apocalypse here in Canada. I can bored up my windows but still watch TV. (Joking LOL) Yeah I get all that. But like to be able to have a Alternative to The internet to get content. In my experience I find it has channels that I enjoy when I want to watch some linear programming. Do you still use your dish?
Gotta set something like this up, so i can use my Sony Watchman wirelessly. I'm also getting speakers to set up via composite audio from my gaming consoles, which will be used to give audio to my Electrohome CCTV monitor that I plan on using for gaming. As that unit will be Composite to UHF.
