Hey, I'm Hayden; I am a freelance Digital Artist, Illustrator and Composer! I create covers, arrangements and suites based on film/tv/game soundtracks - but primarily #DoctorWho!
For enquiries: whovivortex.carrd.co/ pfp: runmonsterun-blog.tumblr.com/
FAQ:
- Can I use your music? My arrangements/covers are always free to use in your work, just be sure to credit myself and the appropriate artist/composer(s) I'm covering - and feel free to share your work with me!
- What do you use to make your covers? I write by ear to MIDI in my DAW, and arrange/mix using sample libraries. I use FL Studio, and samples from Spitfire Audio/Soundiron/East West Sounds/Performance Samples and numerous freebies (Pianobook, Decent Sampler).
- Can you cover my request? I can't promise anything alas, even if it's a track from a planned suite... but I'll try!
- Can you supply .mp3s/individual tracks for download? Perhaps in the future, but currently only on special occasion - sorry!
@@Ngin115 it’s in a number of my suites, but if you’re after her theme (and music from pretty much every episode with Thirteen) check out ‘The Musical Anthology of the Thirteenth Doctor’
The problem with the BBC not releasing the soundtracks quickly enough is that channels like this release covers, I fall in love with the covers, and by the time the official soundtrack comes out, there's something about it that doesn't feel right because I consider the cover the original. It happened with The Shepherd's Boy (or as I'll always refer to it: "Breaking The Wall"), took a really long time to feel like the released version was the correct one. I'm gonna have an ever harder time reconciling the Series 14 soundtrack. That's how good your covers are! I can already feel myself falling in love with these versions! I will consider these the originals.
I love this so much, the only thing more i could wish for from this episode would be an arrangement of there's always a twist at the end. Love the work you're doing, keep it up; I can't wait to see what else you'll make
I use FL Studio and a mix of samples from the likes of Spitfire Audio, East West, Soundiron, Performance Samples and many freebies (Pianobook, Decent Sampler, Spitfire Labs) :) And 73 Yards is next ;)
@@WhoviVortex that was a weird... episode. but i do have an idea tto expand it in my projecvts! whihc i am very exitced to do. also wow. sl studios-? iwhihc ones-? im new to sl studios not gnna lie. i usually use mixcraft
@@thefilmmusicaficionado7937 They're referring to the TARDIS reveal music from The Star Beast when 14 says 'it changed!' - it reprises here in Boom with 'Just Wait Till Daddy Gets Home'
Everything is possible. Everything is possible! Everywhere is a beach eventually... 💥 What was intended to be a short medley turned into a really fun collaboration with my musical accomplice @VortexProd - please give him a hand for his incredible work on some of these tracks! Special thanks once again to the amazing artists involved (Dani, Soundsmyth, Owen, Joe, Rafe, Shay and Arbrax - check them out in the description), and for all the support on 'The Devil's Chord' earlier in the week... More to come! 🛣𝟳𝟯🧍♀
@@eriksonoliveiraiii1605 Thanks! I owe a lot of them to the amazing artists in the description ( SoundsmythProd, Rafeski_, Arbrax, Cook11Joseph, ShayProd, Owen_Ruthven and Dani_WSDK for this one! )
@@WhoviVortex Boom definitely has one of my favourite soundtracks, with the track at the end as the landmine is about to detonate, the start of that is my favourite and I hope you can extend that part of it like you have for these songs
@@WhoviVortex And every song in Rogue is amazing I hope you do a full suite for that, especially the song that plays whilst the Doctor and Rogue are dancing
20:00 I was so sure Ruby was the child of the trickster when i heard the hidden song. It sounds so much like the non-diagetic motif from SJA. RTD SOOO missed a trick here
I have wanted a clean version &/or cover of the piece starting at 7:00 for more than half my life. Thank you SOO much! With the BBC never releasing S10 and the earlier soundtracks being so limited, i heavily rely on people like you. You deserve far more attention!
Im always astounded by your work. I love Murray, he is the true Maestro... but where are the official soundtracks?? You are beyond incredible for how you recreate these pieces, and truly, with headphones on, these are mind blowing recreations with such care put into the sound. Even if Murray did release officials soundtracks, your work shouldnt be ignored, as the effort you put into these are amazing, and I even love the creative liberties like Including the unreleased music from 2007
And that ending is fantastic, really reminds me of interstellar. Not too familiar with the process but would love to know how the tension of strings is created.
@@nuttyhuttyThank you! The tension is created really by stacking layers; with that one I had the chord building much like it does in the episode, with the climax instead featuring octaves with ‘E’ and ‘D’ together, which are tightly next to each other in pitch so create a conflicting harmony without sounding too sharp. They’re also performed as a tremolo, which makes the strings sound extra tense and vibrating. Hope that makes sense, haha
