Loved McLeod coming off the bench to avenge a clean hit and absolutely getting his jock handed to him. Cute how Anaheim had to finally bring in Deslauriers because MacDermid was destroying their entire team. 😂
When I watched the Canucks game in person, I was not going to leave the Canucks game after they won since it was a special moment with Dustin Brown retiring from NHL Hockey after the end of the 2021-22 NHL season.
Can someone explain why he wasnt given a fair shot in the nhl? His ahl numbers are insane but he gets 4th line minutes when he gets called up. Is there something I dont know about him?
T.J. Tynan has impressive AHL numbers, but there could be various reasons why he hasn't been given a bigger role in the NHL. NHL coaches and executives have access to more information than fans, including a player's practice performance, attitude, and fit into the team's game plan. Additionally, some players excel at the AHL level but struggle in the NHL due to differences in speed, physicality, and level of play. It's also possible that Tynan has been caught in a numbers game with too many players ahead of him on the depth chart. While there may be reasons why T.J. Tynan hasn't yet had a bigger role in the NHL, I do certainly hope that he gets a fair shot in the future. With his impressive AHL numbers and skillset, it's possible that he could make a meaningful impact at the NHL level if given the opportunity.
i love that from their stanley cup teams the kings developed an identity as a bunch of bruisers who will smear you on the ice to get the puck back and score a goal. they still play that way today even if they don't have the big checkers anymore.
Love Kopitar. Such a fun guy to watch. Not even a Kings fan (not that I don’t like them, etc. just neutral)…but he’s been a pleasure to watch since he was a rookie. Big guy, great positioning, smart, responsible 2-way guy, great skill but doesn’t just rest on that…is a really hard worker. A superstar with a grinder’s mentality. Fantastic player.
With the addition of Fiala it seems likely Iafallo slots down on the 3rd line with Byfield and Kaliyev.. Really excited about the potential of that line. You've got an exceptional 2 way forward in Iafallo, a playmaking center in Byfield, and your goal scorer in Kaliyev. Iafallo is the type of player who makes his linemates' lives easier - could be a perfect fit.
And Byfield and Kaliyev were both great defensively last year too so that’s gonna be a tough line to score on, plus having Iafallo there lets QB be more aggressive on offense
The Kings needed to rebuild and get younger. Doesn’t make sense for Kovi to stick around waste his final playing years. It was a bad signing by the Kings, they were in denial and resisting the necessary rebuild.
