I was also disappointed with the Vortigern Nendoroid. I would've been fine with no intricate detail on his limbs/cloak if they had added more accessories- like, no Vespar, no scythe?... Missed opportunities.
@@Heart_970 I do think the accessories definitely kills any hype I had for this figure. And with the details I’m just bummed with how they showed us that concept art and this is what we got. 😭
Also I would not preorder the Dimitri, just because you already have so many complaints about him... In the end he will take up space you could use for a figure you would love way more, I think.
@@Horcling Yeah I’m leaning towards not preordering him. I think the Ike and Marth scales were on sale or cheaper preowned on AmiAmi so I’m banking on it being the same with him.
@@Ichika1UP I wish they would include more accessories for having the prices be what they are. 😭 Like with certain characters sure, but still characters from more action series deserve more.
Your Oberon collection must be getting massive! I am not surprised that you pre-ordered Oberon 1/8 scale by Alter. Like most Alter scales., Oberon looks stunning. His elaborate base really makes him stand out. That price tag, though. Ouch. I'd probably have waited for the aftermarket but I understand this is a figure that you don't want to miss out on. Wakamo lovers are eating good. Blue Archive Wakamo Swimsuit 1/7 scale by Good Smile Company looks breathtaking no matter how many times I see her. The previous scale from NEONMAX was terrific as well. Both are great for the quality they offer. I am glad I don't play this game. Otherwise, I would undoubtedly be another CA$600 short. In contrast to Oberon and Wakamo, that Dimitri scale by Intelligent Systems looks pretty average in comparison. His face looks off to me. If it wasn't for his armour + cape, I'd have struggled to place him on first glance. With how much Intelligent Systems is charging for him, I think your money is better spent elsewhere.
Oopsie. I submitted my previous comment early by mistake. xD To answer your question at the end of the video on what figures I have pre-ordered, I only have several Nendoroids pre-ordered for 2024 and 2025, mainly from Hololive. For everything else I am interested in, I am waiting for their release before deciding if I will commit to their purchase or not. I have been noticing lately that my excitement for new figures often wanes a couple of months after I place my pre-order. Also I am running low on display and storage space. This will help me curtail my new acquisitions.
My Oberon collection is…definitely getting up there. 😂 I don’t have every single piece of Oberon merch since some of it is quite expensive in the after market so I’m waiting a while on stuff like that. And even though the scale is expensive I worry about him going up in price in the aftermarket because of how popularity and this is his first proper scale figure. Idk that’s just my logic, but who knows a year from now. I could take an L on this one if I’m wrong. 😂 I adore Wakamo’s character design so much. Like I don’t really buy swimsuit figures, but this one is gorgeous! I hope those are her only two outfits or I’m in trouble. 😭 I am leaning towards waiting for the aftermarket for the Dimitri scale. I think at one point in time on AmiAmi I think both the Ike and Marth scales were on sale or cheaper. Like these figures don’t really shoot up in price like the older Fire Emblem figures.
@@sasamiadachi Nice! I’ve been slowing down on the Nendoroids quite a bit. Besides the Snow Miku, Fluffy Land Nendos and Oberon Nendo I just don’t see myself hitting the PO button. In an older video I think I said I would start collecting Demon Slayer/Chainsaw Man Nendoroids as they go up for preorder, but I’ve stopped doing that. Like I enjoy those series, but it doesn’t motivate me to order them right away. Also same with Dungeon Meshi. I love that series so much, but idk I just didn’t feel like picking any of them up. Probably my one exception. Is Izutsumi because she’s my favorite and then for Chainsaw Man it would be Angel if they ever made him. And I agree that the excitement for a preorder dwindles over time for some figures. I didn’t mention it in this video, but I cancels the Suguru Geto JJK scale by estream. On AmiAmi he’s close to $240 now because of the yen fluctuating and I just had to say no at that point. Plus I think the Yuta Okkotsu scale by estream went on sale on AmiAmi so I’m hoping the same happens with Geto.

Another year, another Snow Miku. I may end up selling this one to a friend, as they missed out on the preorder and they really want her. She does look super cute though. Who knows? Maybe I will end up hanging on to her when the time comes. xD Sarah Red Queen Bunny 1/4 BINDing looks gorgeous. I have always been impressed by the quality of their figures, but Sarah looks distinguished even by their standards. I am surprised that she was opened for pre-order without much prior fanfare. The best way to be responsible when it comes to figure collection is to focus on the ones you know. They are simply too many high quality figures being made these days, so something's got to give. I hope the vendors you placed pre-order with won't cancel your accounts. Thank you for the informative video! I hope you are doing well.
@@sasamiadachi Awww that’s nice you to consider giving her to them! ✨ She is very cute so definitely give her a look over to see if you want to keep her. I really hope the Sarah figure has great quality. I know that some BINDing bunnies might now have matched the promo photos and it looks like there were QC issues with some so I’m really hoping that’s not the case with her. Like it doesn’t have to match the photos they showed 100%, but u don’t want her to look noticeably off. For me it’s definitely waiting for when it’s close to the end of the preorder period. In the past I just jumped on the preorder right away without giving it some thought on how it would fit in my collection. Thankfully Good Smile gives you a preorder window, but like with AmiAmi they don’t and depending on the manufacturer they only take a set amount of orders. I know with Nin Nin Game and Kotobukiya figures with bonus heads/faceplates you have to be quick about it since it’s very limited. And with AmiAmi I hope I’m fine. I feel like if you buy a lot more than you cancel then you’re fine and as long as you don’t cancel when they ask for the payment which I understand. There's a biochemist named Jessie Inchauspé who put out some of the most useful info on blood glucose management i read with her "ten blood sugar hacks", glycogen depletion happens to people in cycling all the time and yes it is a very anxious airy feeling for me too. So yeah I hope that her info can help you too on your next con to do your nutrient timing. 🙂
I would definitely like to do more con type videos! And thank you for the info! Meal prepping before hand is something I should plan the day before a con and not having to rush to prepare something the day of. Especially when I got there very early to get on the first line. I think on that same level as the lines to wait to get in there was a food court, but I’m not too sure if they were open or if security would allow you to go to that area for food.
@@SakuraUnboxing Were many other people vlogging there? I have an idea of RU-vid as oversaturated but I'm not sure if this is correct in reality. But yeah, it will be very interesting seeing the future conventions and how this industry changes in the future. 🙂 Hm I wonder why those food court vendors weren't there maybe it was something to do with exclusive vendor permits. What I like to do is get a big 1 lb bag of sugar snap peas and eat them raw throughout the day bc thats some water, fiber, and boosts the blood sugar enough to do something without too much to cause a crash later. 🙂
Buying figures at conventions is usually not a great idea. As you pointed out, not only are they often overpriced, lugging them around the convention sounds like a chore. Seeing them on display is great though! Taking it easy the first time around is a good way to acclimate yourself with conventions like this, but planning ahead definitely helps you make the most of your time and enhances the overall experience. Attending conventions with friends or doing fan meetups can make the event even more memorable. I spot some footage of the Hololive sets! I wish I could have been there.
@@sasamiadachi Yeah I can’t imagine lugging a figure yet alone a scale figure around. 😭 Plus I can’t believe I couldn’t find the footage I took of the Fire Emblem figures. Like they are quite overpriced, but then seeing people sell them for close to $300 is crazy. There is definitely a lot to do at conventions so I agree that planning definitely helps! I wish I could have gone with friends, but unfortunately they couldn’t get Friday off. I’m glad that I could make the most of the day with the 1 day pass at least. And yeah there was a bunch of vtuber stuff and they were playing some sort of vtuber fighting game which was interesting. 😂
Nice haul and great cosplay! I love Dan Heng. I just have a nendroid so far and a bookmark. I think the word "zine" comes from "magazine". Years ago mini magazines that weren't officially published but were just done by fans started being called zines. That's what I seem to remember!

Really nice figures! I wish that the assembly was less harrowing or fragile. I've seen quite a few breakages in assembly videos of extremely expensive figures (which would stop my heart if it was something that wasn't easily glued). Good job! Thanks for another really fun video!

I was struggling so much with getting the pigtails on so I looked up an unboxing. THANK YOU SO MUCH for that tidbit about removing the head!!!! I was so afraid that I would accidentally break the figure but removing the head worked wonders. Thank you thank you thank you❤❤❤

oh... so those 3 beach queens only. they didnt inclue the ataraxia (white swimsuit) well that thing has a issue anyway.... but still wishing they include it so i can put them side by side. also im eyeing for that ichiban kuji berserk altria (im just wishing the her twintail is not the same with caenis where her tail hair is bad)
My problem with the last figure (dragon girl) is that I like her, but I definitely see that this "illustration" is AI generated and how will buying this figure will be judged by the company. Like this can be rare occasions or will it be green light for not paying well for artists' work and just using AI. Don't know yet😢

I just ask because the box is also so beautiful but it does take up space, so its a conundrum. I used to throw boxes away and I really regret it btw, as the years go by the boxes really seem to add resell value to collectibles, sometimes by hundreds of percent.

Btw your videos are a grade above most others, I have watched a whole ton of RU-vid this year and yours have such a style and talent. @@UraniumMilk I am close to running out of space again. I have put away some figures for the time being and some that I’m thinking of selling. When it comes to selling figures I’ll most likely do a community post about it and not a video. And thank you so much for the compliment! ✨ Man would it be nice to get free figures. 😂 Unfortunately it’ll probably take me years to get to that level, but I feel happy with where I am at right now. I just have to keep working and doing my best to slowly grow the channel. And yeah I film and edit these videos on my own. 😭 The extra help would be nice, but at least I can learn and grow my editing skills overtime through practice.
