I have worked in the automotive industry for almost 20 years and the highest mileage i have ever seen was a 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan back in 2011. That vehicle had 960 000 miles on the original engine (3.3l v6) and he had replaced the transmission 3 times! His reason on why he got so much mileage?... Frequent engine oil n filter changes every 3k miles! He was a Courier Driver for those 18 years! The highest mileage i have seen on Toyotas was 425 000 miles on a 2002 Toyota Matrix in 2013! Original tranny but he had to replace the engine once!
@@alibabaschultz352 Most courier drivers do a lot of city driving not highway. I have also been Courier Driver myself for several years and 80% of the driving is in the city. Unless, you do express courier, then you will be driving 75% of the time on the highway. The above 2 examples, The Matrix and the Grand Caravan were perfect examples of vehicle driving mostly in the city. Both vehicles went thru front brakes every 25k to 30k miles and rear shoes every 75k to 90k miles. The Matrix had yet to change the tranny. When you change the fluids way before its due, this is end result for both vehicles. Extreme preventative maintenance is key, when you drive in the city like this and that is what these 2 owners of these vehicles did!
@@DeUnoReverseKaart We definitely did, when i worked at that Chrysler Dealership. He was a very loyal customer and we made sure we took care of him very well. The biggest issues with most Mopar car owners is that they are very poor when it comes to car maintenance, unlike owners of Japanese vehicles who maintain their vehicles way better. Out of every 10 Mopars that came into my dealership, 4/10 were meticulously maintained n had no issues, 5 were very poorly maintained and frequently broke down and 1 out of 10 were just outright junk! In sharp contrast, when i worked at Toyota, out of 10 vehicles, 7/10 were meticulously maintained and had no issues, 2.5 were very poorly maintained and would need a new engine after 60k to 100k kms because they were burning oil and .5/10 were just outright junk! That is the difference between a Mopar and Toyota owner!
@@88joparSounds very familiar.. Im from the Netherlands so we dont really got actual mopar/chevy's,chryslers and such. But the BMW, Mercedes and Audi owners are the same. I worked at a Honda dealer for many years, from my 16th to 22 or so, learned everything there. And 80% of all cars were perfect, and the other 20% was decent/good. A bad one was very rare. Now many years later, i work at a universal shop and get everything from microcars and lawnmowers, up to cars, small trucks, RV's etc. But i notice that "A" brand car owners like Mercedes and Audi owners cant really afford to drive those cars.. So they get bad maintenance, like el cheapo tires or B choice parts because OEM or A brand is to expensive..😂 The people that drive a VW Golf, Civic, Yaris/Auris, peugeots and Citroens take better care of it in general. And im not saying that A brand/OEM is the only "good" way, but there is a difference between a granny that only uses her car to get church and back, and some hoody in a M3😂

Just remember when you do receive the Lien Release from Toyota Financial, you take that release to your DMV and remove "Toyota Financial" from your Title, otherwise if you loose that release and years later you try to sell that vehicle, you have to call up Toyota and ask for them to resend the release (10 days). Don't assume your local Toyota dealership can cut the red-tape with Toyota Financial and get a copy of that lien release faster.
