I apologize for asking this....any idea as to yardage for the webs? I know that this can be difficult to judge. I had to order some thread for this & I received what I am calling mini balls of Aunt Lydia's thread, lol! I didn't realize that they come in different sized 'balls', if that's what you call these. So....I looked it up. What I would call the normal yardage for Aunt Lydia thread is around 350 yds. What I received was 3 x ~ 90 yds, so approx 180yds. I am going to say that I should be ok with making 7 webs but I just wanted to make sure if I need to return what I ordered & get a larger ball.
Unfortunately, their metallic threads come in at under a third of their standard size colorways. I believe you are going to be using approximately 100 yards, give or take. (I used one full ball plus a bit from a second).
Magnificent work. I cannot even imagine the time it took. My brain is not creative enough to do free form crochet. I always need a hard copy pattern. You deserved all the ribbons. The little girl outfit was the cutest. Best wishes to you.
Love the design. You said U.S. size 4.0 hook? but on the hook it says 3.5. I'm new at crocheting, if you could explain this to me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and have a great day
Hello Rikk-q8v. The measurement of US hooks is denoted using a lettering and / or number system. For example: B/1, C/2, D/3, E/4, etc. In some countries, a number system is used, such as in the UK, where your typical American B hook might be classified as a size 13 hook or by milimeters (a size American B/1 hook would also be equivalent to a 2.25mm hook). The hook I am using is made by a Japanese company that often labels sizes representing different systems. So, an American 4 hook is the same/similar to a 3.50 mm hook. I hope I was able to clear up any confusion.

I am sorry to hear this. It's a complicated piece. In a few months, when things slow down for me, I can take another look at this video and see if there are ways I can simplify this pattern for you, and anyone else, having troubles.

This is a wonderful tutorial, a beautiful square but a little too much work on one square to make a blanket with, but it is a very well done tutorial thank you

Cheers for using fingering weight, down here in Australia we don’t need thick winter things and it’s hard to find patterns for thinner yarns. No point crocheting things too thick to ever wear. 70 degrees is the coldest weather I’ve ever been in, luckily it’s around 100-110 9 months out of the year 🥳
Perfect! I love working with finer weight yarns, so I try to bring a lot of that to this channel. In my part of Alaska, we see a couple of days a year that hit around the 80s, but we spend about half the year between 40-60 and the other half much colder 😂
You can easily experiment with the pipe cleaners and different yarns to see if you are good with the end results. The pipe cleaners will bend and hold their shape just fine, so that's not my concern. It's the chenille texture of the pipe cleaner that may be a challenge for you.
@@Jazmine-hh5sf The written instructions for Rnd 4 can be found at 11:31. I also verbally walk you through what needs to be done for Rnd 4. For the sake of time, I regularly edit out redundant stitches from the video (This is what I believe you are talking about when you say I have "skipped" certain parts). But if you can read a pattern or follow verbal instructions, you should be able to get this even if you're having to work a little more slowly and stop the video from time to time while you finish one round, and before moving onto the next round. Also, you may have to watch the video once or twice all the way through to get a better understanding of how I format my tutorial videos.
