@robster4308 it's definitely not my preferred profile. When it comes to the higher-proof beam, when I find a bottle of Baker's with over an 8-year age statement, or a good Knob Creek store pick, both of those are going to be 65 bucks. And, in my opinion, taste better than almost any Bookers I've had.
I was not impressed by the tropics. I have liked almost everything I've tried from Michters. Good comparisons. I am looking forward to the next time we can get together and have a few pours. Cheers buddy.
I couldn't believe some of the placements on the list that some of the bottles got... how high and how low for some. Just shows not everyone's palate is the same. I recently had people strongly encouraging me to try a bottle they loved and I thought it was very mediocre. 🤷♂️ cheers my friend, We should do a collab sometime! Dude, you must have me on speed watch or something. It was a major PITA. The kind where you start to question whether it's worth it to even post it, but, you put so much time into it! There is probably an automatic chapter thing... oh there is, doesn't show up except on the published video. If nothing else, I accidently learned something! For me, the Tin Cup 10, Frey Ranch and Powers, were pretty good. Most of the others interesting to meh, and the bottom was that Hercules Mulligan disaster. Ugh. I tend to sprinkle my hunting around the Seattle area. What I’ve found is that my local store in West Seattle has a lot of what everyone else gets, like the big box stores, but trying to keep it local has a bit of a price. Various supermarkets have good values at times, though kinda hit and miss. I do tend to pick up bottles when on travel, so that puts the hunt outside the PNW. I am seeing a lot of what were “tough” to find bottles sitting on shelves at their nearly secondary prices before our stupid tax. Issaquah tends to be a museum, Burien less so, but still a lot. I also look for “including tax” tags for odd ball bottles they’ve been stuck with that might help with content. And of course, The Costco. Good luck, and thanks for watching!

I was curious about straight bourbon whiskey "rule"for aging. Found this on the New Riff Distillers website. To be considered “straight Bourbon,” it must be aged for a minimum of two years in new charred oak containers. If it is aged for less than four years, it must have an age statement somewhere on the bottle that tells buyers how long it was aged. So, I'd say that those are at least four years. Edit: Just saw another video where the age was next to the Warning statement. 36 months.

The JD triple mash, Woodinville rye, Lumber yard, all above the Kentucky tea batch? I loved that bottle! Now you may be right that the overall age of The Jeffersons is older but I thought that the voyages were shorter.. I thought Mischief was actually out at sea longer... Thanks, I was cracking up even editing it. I believe you are correct in that the on-ship aging is longer for Mischief. I went and rewatched your live stream and they said 3 years. I thought it was funny Dry Fly thought that they were the only ones using Triticale, especially since Distillarium is there on the East side of the state with them. I'm curious what you thought of the Sinatra JD. I've wanted to buy it many times but it's so expensive...
The Sinatra is better than regular Jack and the triple mash. Not a fan of the Bonded. Not sure it's as good as the price. I have a bottle also (followed closely by it was only available at Duty Free, and Canada "reasonable"). I need to do a video with it, and of course have a sample for you.
Straight bourbon whiskey can't be non age stated if it's less than 4 years old. This would imply that the AAA10 is at least 4 years old, not 36 months.

Great haul, glad you found some obtainium! Personally I was very underwhelmed by the disco 6.. I have a lot of $60 bottles that I think are better. Ya, the wonderful half spherical serving dish extravaganza was fun to watch with enough bourbon. Cheers

Every one of them has a weird undertone of honey, obviously, but it’s not in your face. I’m going to compare with the other honey whiskeys out there. I’m hopeful the Kona coffee expression is good.
Good video man, I especially like the part at the end where you were adding all the stuff into the caldron, funny stuff. I can't believe that's a $400 bottle. From your reaction to tasting it, it sounds like it's pretty disappointing, especially at that price point. If I spend close to or over $100 on a bottle then it better taste like the best bourbon I've ever had in my life because there's so much good stuff in the 40 to $80 range.... hard for me to justify spending more.

Wow, that is so awesome that you got a signed bottle of Horse Soldier BS! Out of the 3 from them I've tried the BS is the better of them. They have an incredible back story! It was fun seeing all of your new bottles! I haven't tried Blood oath, that's one I'm interested in. Glad you got to do a tasting at Woodinville, one of my favorite tours by far.
