Hey peeps from around the world !!!!!! I'm doing vids for Chery & Omoda in SOUTH AFRICA. Big thanks to Chery SA for making all this possible. My goal is to help expand the brand and help people decide on making a choice of trying the Chinese brands for luxury cars at an affordable price as apposed to the other more expensive manufacturers with less features in their cars. Here to review the cars as an owner of a T4 Elite and my opinions of their vehicles. Also give details on the latest news of Chery & Omoda. Please like and subscribe to the channel to grow it. Only if you get a strong crosswind.. Apparently, it's something with the rubbers on the doors. Some people have had it changed, and it resolved the issue. If you live in a place that's very windy all the time, you'll experience it frequently. I've experienced it about 3 times in 2yrs and I've even gone up to 200kph with no noise.
@theBaldChery ah thanks for your response. Mine tends to whistle regardless of the wind but at certain speed it'll start. Does changing the rubbers also reduce cabin noise in general?
I'm not sure if they did the update, as I am not really seeing any difference. Can you let me know the software version that you can see in settings. Not getting much above 10.4km/L. Car has done around 12000km. Thanks.
Unfortunately there is no way to check it except logging in through the OBD. what type of traffic do you drive in? You'll generally see a good difference on highways and open roads. Plus stick to SPORTS MODE in and around rural and town areas.
It's really dependent on how long you drive and if you use all the facilities like music through RU-vid or SPOTIFY. I use everything constantly and driving a lot, and my phone uses lots of APPs from triplog book, waze maps and to some apps that run constantly. The main thing depends on what you run on your cell, but for the wireless, it uses Bluetooth like usual, so it's not too bad. By the time I get home, it's around 30%. That's from 6h00 to about 16h00, but if I'm going out later in the evening, then I will charge the cell off the charger port for about an hour or so. The only advantage of using the cable is that it permanently charges your phone.
Hey thanks for this video. First one ive seen that goes into the vehicle settings. Would you recommend this car for someone who doesn't have a family but maybe in 5 years might? Also the t4 n t7 engines are the same but do they feel different to you in each car?
Thanks... Put it this way, I'm thinking of upgrading to one of these, and it's only my wife and I. We don't have kids and are not planning on kids soon. If the T7 was released before I bought my T4, I would've bought that instead. The engines and gearbox are obviously the same. The T7 is slightly bigger and heavier. But it's a wonderful drive. The car still has plenty of power under it, and it is such a nice and relaxing ride that you don't want to drive fast but just cruise. It's no hot hatch but it's a quick car off the line. Hope this is helpful.

The problem with pre-owned ( 2nd hand ) you won't receive the 1mil / 10yr warranty. Maybe look for a demo from the dealerships. They normally between 3 to 5k km on the clock. It's a lot cheaper price wise and will still carry the full 1 mil warranty. Especially if you planning on keeping the car for many yrs.

Well, it depends on what you want to spend every month on the vehicle. What amount are you looking at spending? Chery has so many different options for financing. Obviously, most of it is based on your credit score. The T4 is also a very good car to look at, still has more than enough space. I suggest take both for a drive and see if the T7 is necessary.

@serdarcan8948 hi. Depends on what features you car has and what you define as hidden. We don't get the comfort, ours is known as the "DISTINCTIVE" which is the normal model and then we get the "EXECUTIVE" which has the panoramic sunroof and is the top of the range.
I totally agree the "Classic" view is the better one. Has the sort of car-dashboard feel to it. Just purchased one of these and still getting used to it. Thanks for the review 😊🎉
Sounds like there was no need for quad pipes, just one small pipe wouldve sounded just the same. Guess they are doing it to compete with appeal but it actually does more damage to the industry, now actual performance cars will need 6 pipes.
@robbylebotha I've seen some MAX's that people have changed the exhausts. You can change the exhausts from the CAT to the back box without interference with the warranty or voiding it. I want to try get my T4 TURBO ELITE a better sounding exhaust.
Hi! Wireless charging in settings is already enabled and the phone supports wireless charging but if i put it in wireless charging spot it doesnt start charging 😢
@danishisrealfr if you have the 2022/2023 model T7 PRO ( like in the video ) that the interior looks like the T4 PRO. This model doesn't have wireless charging in South Africa. I'm not sure where you are from or which version you have. The SA model needs a cable for Android auto and charging. The only other reason for not working could be on your version is, what cover do you have on the cell? Are you sure your car has wireless charging? Maybe if you know someone who has a cell with wireless charging, test their cell in your car and see if that one works. If their cell works, it could be your cell, but at least you'll know if it's your cell or the car. Hope this helps a little. It is a little difficult to help like this.
Hi. I see there is a white light symbol when want to put lights on brights before the blue light symbol. And it has an A in the middle. How does that work?
The only thing I can is that it's probably the auto lights symbol you saw. But can't really say I've seen it. I've only seen it in green on the screen for the autohold (A).
@@theBaldChery It is yes. Just not sure how and if it works. The other night when I drove I switch my brights on and then flicked it forward again and it was on the “auto” brights. It didn’t do anything noticeable. Also not in the manual though.

Hey just a quick question. My front PDC doesn’t work since I bought the car is that normal. When I reverse park the camera goes on and the proximity sensors will keep beeping to let me know how close I am to object. But when driving forward close to anything or pulling into a parking from the front nothing goes on even though it has a 360 camera but that only activates when reversing or turning. Please advise
@wazzmatazz1435 yip. It's normal, the only time the front sensors work is for the adaptive cruise control OR if you want to see where you are driving into ( example garage ) press the AVM button below the radio. Just bear in mind the AVM only activates at low speeds. On the right side of the AVM screen, you slide the screen to the left, you can change settings of the AVM.
Hi. With the update, I am regularly getting 700km to 725km on a tank in avg. However, the last few wks i haven't been driving smoothly as lots of work. Yesterday, I drove from Nigel to Krugersdorp with aircon on and was flooring it most of the way. My min was 130kph and that was when I was in place where they normally have camera's. At some stages, I was doing 160kph and dodging traffic and still got 12.5km/L. As soon as I left my customer in Krugersdorp and started heading home at the normal 120kph, the consumption started going up again and by the time I got back to Centurion, it was already hitting 13.1km/L. Software update makes a big difference.
@@theBaldChery thats good consumption i would say. I had the update, or so the dealer said they did the update for me, and im trying my best to just get to 12km/l on the highway and bot speeding at all. Its been over 1200km that i have been on the so called update so im not really convinced that the update has been done
I tried again I pressed the start button twice wothout touching the brake to turn on the dash lights I went back into settings and then display I tried changing again and said changed but the dash not change Do i need to press a confirm button somewhere Thanks
Awesome, believe me. You'll be very greatful that you have them when you have a problem. The one thing that I forgot to add in the vid is that it comes with a few extra connections tips. Such as young a rugby ball or bicycle tyres.
Only in the new MAX'S versions, I didn't find anything on the 2022 versions of the T4, T7 or T8. Only saw it in it the Omoda C5 and MAX versions as they have almost the same system.
Switch the car off and leave it for a few min. Then start it, if it still says it, try to get to a dealer nearby. If it won't drive, call Chery road side assistance to collect the vehicle and have it taken to a dealership to get it looked at and resolved. From what I've seen, sometimes the fluid in the gearbox could be a little low to something like a connector coming loose. On an extreme case, it could be the gearbox itself.
Hi Bald Chery. I bought a new Chery Pro 4 Automatic Turbo 1.5. In Jan 2024. Since then been experiencing a " limbo" cvt gearbox, where the gearbox goes into limbo mode, stuck in first gear only. It happens intermittently only and seems it only happens when the vehicle gets warm. Not sure if it is a software issue or gearbox issue. Been in for repairs and fault finding for weeks at end with Chery Menlyn in Pretoria, with no success on resolving the issue. Cherry Headoffice Sa also are not very helpful in assisting to negotiate for a new replacement Chery, and make it my problem to get sorted from the bought dealers. Without any success on negotiations further testing needs to be do by my bought dealer now. Apparently no fault finding reports can be found on any Dino testing. Once the vehicle stands for a while a couple of hours the issue fixes itself and drives as normal again. Any suggestions on what this issue can be for resolving the issue. or how to proceed to claim a new replacement vehicle under the protection consumer Act with the bought dealership or Chery SA. The vehicle is only 5 month old and just exceeded it 5000 km. Your assistance or advise will be appreciated. Siegie 072 243 4488
Remember to have you 5000km/6month service. A few things... Pls make sure the car is properly heated up and it says "heating completed" Have you had the new update installed on your car? It helps and adjusts the gearbox? Might help with the CVT. Just a question.... you drive in full auto or in manual aswell? You drive in SPORTS or ECO and which fuel do you use?

Sad to say, there is no 'video limit' or 'video restrictions' colum in the display setting as yours. Maybe have to update the player..not sure..just only have 'screen switch'. But the screen turn black if i click 'screen switch'...
I have to be honest, pulling out a screw or a pin and forcing the plug-in, is not easy. You need some strength to push it in, so I wasn't being a sexist or anything like that. Just some women won't have the strength that's all I meant.
Im planning on getting the urban Im coming from a 3l d4d hilux Now Im okay with a bit less power But is it so that you can easily stall it when pulling away Or is strong enough to have it pull away smoothly?
Provided you have clutch control, it won't stall. It's still got enough power to pull away smoothly for an N/A. However, unlike a Diesel, it doesn't have lots of torque to use that to pull away.
I've had my 2024 T4pro Elite cvt for 5 days now and driving only on eco mode, the consumption is currently 8.8km per litre 😭 Ok so it was a demo and people have probably floored it for most of its 4000km life but I really hope it will improve when I take it in for it's first service. Besides the consumption it's an amazing vehicle and I couldn't be happier.
Try to stay in SPORTS MODE, especially when in town traffic. And don't need to press the accelerator to hard, press it to 2000rpm and feather the pedal. It'll give you good fuel consumption and remember the CVT it driven differently compared to a manual or normal auto. The CVT is designed to be economical so you can keep the engine at low rpm and the CVT will use the torque of the engine and turbo. Only time you need high rpm is if you press the pedal to accelerate quickly. I hope you watched the vid on "tips and tricks" for better consumption. Just verify with the dealer that it has had the software updated aswell. Once you get used to the way it drives, you can easily get 13 to 14km/l. I do 200km a day, so I've learnt all the ways to get the best out of the car. I'm already at 103 000 km in just over 2yrs.

I love this car, I call my charcoal grey T4pro Elite Buks 😁 but for the voice command (My "AI" car assistant, I named her Cortana because I'm a Halo fan (on Xbox) and I'm blown away daily on functional and helpful it actually is, everything I thought was a marketing gimmick I really use every day. 😊 Anyways, thanks again for all the advice, tips and videos. Yip. The car is currently available for purchase at some of the dealerships. It was available from May side. That vid was posted Dec 23, but the vid was shot in Oct 23.

Awesome, thank you for the msg and support. Trying to grow the channel. I try to give all the info on how to use the features on the vehicles, not just what the vehicles look like. Lots of people don't know how to use the features, and these cars are loaded with them. I've even watched the Auzzie reviewers complaining about the steering, but they don't change the settings for that to "Associated driving mode" to ON. It's adjusts the steering depending on the driving mode you in. SPORTS - Sharper and more responsive. ECO - Vague and relaxed.
@@theBaldChery yes you're right regarding Aussie reviewers not up on the vast features of the Omoda-5 ... had our dark metallic grey BX (no red trim) for a week now and absolutely loving it. So much better than the BMW X2 we just stepped out of. Wife just did a weekend away 1000km trip. As you say, there's so many features to discover and operate. Your 'how to videos' are so helpful and certainly short tracks reading through the operational manual. Keep up the GREAT work, you're doing a fantastic job 💪

The systems look similar if you compare the C5 to the T8 & T7 MAX'S, but it's different software and different hardware in the systems themselves. The MAX'S are newer generation vehicles, that's why the NAVI ( Turbodog ) is only currently on the new MAX'S and Jaecoo's. Hope this helps. They'll probably do a "facelift" model like they did in the Tiggo's to the C5 that'll have the offline Navigation.

I know, that's the issue. But there are a few people I've got that are looking for a cheapie, even someone in his church that is considering selling their car even at a higher price and can do payments. So we looking at all the possibilities.
You can either use the remote and hold down the button for 7 to 10 sec and it'll remote start. You need to be with the range of the car with the remote. Car will start, but stay locked until you get to the car ( CVT MODELS ONLY ) climb in and press the brake pedal and info screen will start up and car ready to drive. Thanks man. I used to look after him when he was a baby. His mom had him when she was 15yrs and the father wanted nothing to do with him or my sister. So I was the dad figure in his life for many yrs and I know how it felt as my parents got divorced when I was 3yrs old and he just disappeared.
