yes i hear karting association told them to to change the last corner to make it "safe" what next seatbelts and rollover bars for the karts how about the drivers walk around instead of using a kart glad im retired
@@SASraceCAM haha yes definitely a worse layout, but not as bad as it looks. I liked it before they put all the extra concrete down and you had wood chips on the exit of the final corner and grass on the exit of turn 2.
normal clean racing no idea what the penalty is for. Club100 marshals are normally pretty on it, but have seen a couple shockers these past few races. I had the opposite, of a guy t-boning me and sending my into the wall, at paddock and he got nothing (he ended up getting DQ for another incident though).

i hear the club 100 karts have electric quick start now is everyone taking more risks crashing ? also i thought you had helmet cam isn't it allowed anymore ?
Yep, they have electric starters but I don't really know if it affects the way people drive. Most of the starts have been ok in the endurance it's just the last two that have been a bit messy. The endurance is quite a nice format, you don't really know who you're racing a lot of the time and most people don't fight too hard if you go for a clean move. Helmet cams are banned, only place you can have one is on the nose of the kart. Are you thinking of getting back into it?

Yep, it's just arrive and drive karting and this particular event is seen as more of a fun race race than some others so can be quite mixed ability. There's also lightweight and heavyweights in the same race with heavies being at least 12kg more than the lights.
I would have gone for the same move as you didn't even pass him until later I would have let that go depends where the marshal at that corner is standing how it look to him the contact
@@Benjamin-ej8oz Alex asked me to do it but I told him I wasn't that motivated these days with no money to do any karting /testing I told him better to find someone else.i knew they would win as soon as I said it 🤣but I have won it before with redhot racing.but like I say no money is my main issue so I don't plan to do much if any this year
Benjamin I know it’s a quick kart but your braking was unbelievable! Arguably better than Hackworth at the hairpin, no mean feat mate, I really enjoyed the video.
Unlucky, he did exactly the same to me at MK when I had even more of an overlap than that. I luckily had time to back out but you never even got a chance!
I had a black flag for that last year at PF when I didnt even put Rob Bennett on the grass!!! That's a deliberate forcing off the track and should carry a serious penalty!!! terrible race craft
that's the cliff layout making the bottom corner a slower entry when your karts a bit slow to pick up it suffers more up the hill i was struggling against toms kart there. i only like the cliff layout in the wet.
Marshals at daytona to quick with flags etc. .its a corporate thing I guess. Nice driving. ..what sort of times was you doing. .I raced in the 90s at Rye. ..34.9 was my best time on was called then F100 elite. Bring back the good old days 😂
Yeh but you got to take in to hand that the first hair pin has been slightly extended and it was my own kart on a reed valve rotax so it was tuned and set up to the max. ...The dmax kart you was in is a bit of a lottery you get ok ones and some real bad ones the organisers reckon a tenth or two but I found when I ran them for 7 meetings some of them were as much as 2 seconds out. ..but that's the price you pay for corporate arive and drive still good fun tho. Not sure if you ever tryed a full race spec rotax max it's world's apart in my opinion.
your camera does a better job with the darkness than my gopro even better view than it was I did change my setting a bit on my gopro that helped but still not as good.
Yep, it looks pretty good for those 2 seconds after I wipe the mud off - unfortunately you can only change settings via a computer so had to bring my laptop with me
