Sis greens easy either took up a recipe on you tube or I'll send u mines but what I do I'll get hamhocks sis put them in a slow cooker all night on high sis with that water I use that water for my greens then season them how u want to put that meat in there and let them cook til they tender to your taste trust it's easy ain't no wrong way to cook them just make sure u clean them really good
Ima give u STEP BY STEP ON HOW to make them. Ok Buy a few bunches of collards greens. Take the rubberbands off 1. Take each leaf lay them flat on the counter take a sharp steak knife & cut the STEM OUT of them ALL. 2. After doing that to them All? Stack thrm on top of eachother roll them up tightly. & With that same knife cut them thinly. Drop in a bowl till u go through them all. ONCE DONE 3.,FILL THE SINK UP WITH COLD WATER place the greens in i (personally put a drop ofdish washing liquid in) fill the sink & SWISH THE GREENS ROUND. & TY ROUND & ROUND 4. NOW LET THE WATER OUT & RINSE RINSE RINSE RINSE & RINSE. TILL THERES NO BUBBLES ANY MORE & THE GREENS ARE SQUEEKING. THEY WILL. 5. ONCE U ACHIEVE THAT? place the greend in a big pot with These INGREDIENTS SALT PEPPER ONION & GARLIC POWDER 1/4 CUP OF white vinegar. 3 TABLE spoons of sugar. A pack of SAZON.3table dpoons of oil. A piece of smoked Turkey .i dont eat pork but if u do? U can put a few pieces of smoked knuckles in there cut up a oinion a small one add that Fill pot with cold water bout 4 cups cover let come to a Rapid boil then lower the heat. Let the greens cook for about 45 minutes check taste let thrm cook for bout another 30. It all depends on how tender they become. WATCH WATER . level if u need to add water add a lil if not then dont . Then let them greeens cook down to a RICH DEEP COLOR & THEY STICKING TOGETHER. Tasing the Bomb. ONCE U ACHIEVE THAT? Girl, go to the store, get you 2 cans of Glory collard greens, and some smoke turkey, boil the smoke turkey meat, while the meat boiling, open up the greens put in a bowl,pick the big stems out, by now, the smoke turkey should be boiling good, add your seasonings, add greens, checck taste, I add season salt, garlic, red pepper seeds, and some bacon grease, 2 tablespoon sugar, Glory Greens is good, when you add your own smoke meat! With greens, you're just going to cut the thick part of the stem off (unless you like that part). You'll stack your collards and roll them together for faster and even cutting. Soak all your cut greens in warm water with some baking soda and a splash of vinegar to clean. I use turkey necks and I'll boil them with nothing but straight water on medium for 45 or so min. To really pull the flavor into the water and tenderize the meat. Then I'll add beef AND chicken bouillon, then my greens and seasoning of choice. Then I let it all cook together covered for another 45 or so, at the same temp or a hair higher (all of this is dependent on your pot size) and you'll have a lovely savory pot of greens with tender meat :)
