Just FYI: Mathematically speaking and logistically speaking. If someone shot 7 hrs and 20 minutes that is 440 minutes. To make 5,221 in that time frame is 11.9 makes a minute. That is a free throw make every 5.5 seconds. Not factoring in the misses/attempts he had. Then he claims to have taken breaks, well how many breaks and the length of breaks? So that means he had to avg 15-20 makes a minute, meaning a make every 3-4 seconds. Not factoring in the missies or attempts! There is no way for a human to put up a shot every 1-2 second for 7 hrs and 20 min straight. I think GWR has been fooled and the world tricked on the accusation of this number. The math does not add up, the outside factor in Jacksonville FL in the sun, wind, in his backyard, age and other elements. Exhaustion, dehydration, fatigue and muscle cramps spasm are a no brainer. There is too many variables that make this claim undoable.
Maria Teresa :-)
I have a lot of questions / red flags on this record. To shoot 7 hrs and 21 min without a bathroom break, water break, to do this record outside in Jacksonville FL, in the grass, no a regulation size court or lines, in the sun, weather elements and this isn't a young adult doing this, a 50-60 yr old man... and that goal he is using in his backyard is super forgiving and moves 4 inches every time the ball is made.... making/shooting Free throws is not about speed in shooting a shot, to make a shot every 4-5 seconds for that length of time I do not believe to be true, the human body doesn't have strength to do a repetitive motion that frequently and that often without error or breaks in between. I know because I have video footage of my self hitting 743 free throws in a row with no rebounder. I know how dehydrated I was during my 2 hrs and 12 min shooting free throws, how my arms, legs felt during my attempt and the 1-2 days after. Cramping in legs, forearms and arms. I can only speak on my experience, I was 32 when I hit 743 free throws in a row. I have been in contact with Guinness World Record, in 2023 you need physical evidence of records to show because people are dishonest. To actually have viable evidence and something people can say that is legit and followed rules etc To shoot an absurd amount of shots and the length/duration of time and other variables I mentioned above I do not believe this to be true. Check out my RU-vid Channel for my records. Taylor Grayson 33, I have been using the NBA HomeCourt app for over 3 years. There is no photoshopping, editing, it uses the camera on your phone to track makes and misses. Viable Footage you can see my entire record of 743 Free Throws Made in a row!
The record was done on a regulation court that Coors built for Mr. St Martin in his back yard. And it’s still there. Not the hoop you see in the video. Mr. St Martin would hit 1,000 in a row during half time show’s traveling the country representing Coors Lite who sponsored him. He will be the first to tell you his shot isn’t pretty……
@@miguelamadeo1582 it’s not about having a pretty shot or not. But doing a physical act or motion for that amount of times and that quickly. The body, muscles, stamina, fatigue etc doesn’t add up. Even if it was on a regulation court in his backyard, shooting outside is way tougher than inside so that adds to the questioning of this 5,221.
@@TaylorGrayson33 in the video Mr. St Martin tells you all his personal records he broke and where they were done in front of live audiences! His friend Bob Fisher has shoot close to 3,000 in a row. Mr. St Martin is 87 years old now and retired when he was 67…… his life was working out and traveling the country living up to his reputation. He told me once In Louisiana he missed 3 out of his first 5 during a half time show and the fans booed him! Then he hit 500+ and they gave him a standing ovation. He told me that he worked out to make sure he would never miss that first shot again. He was even hired by the Atlanta Hawks to coach the team but he turned it down. When he shot the 5,221, he did it during one of his many clinics….. there was over 15 people present. I worked with him when he was over 70 years old was still doing daily pushups even though he had retired….. Blessings, keep shooting and to be successful requires dedication! Keep Shooting! 👍🏼
@@王勇-j9vstill doesn’t make sense. Doing a repetitive physical motion at 60 years old, in the sun, doesn’t matter how much you drink. You do the math 5,221 divided by the 7 hrs and 20 min. He didn’t have much time to rest or drink bc that means he averaged 12 makes a minute. That is very fast, again. Shooting free throws isn’t about speed, it’s about concentration, focus and rhythm. By the way adding a camera and recording any record adds pressure to any record and has validity. Video footage is KING in 2023, I have my video of 2 hrs and 12 min of my 743 record. I doubt this 5,221 is actually legit. I can only be persuaded by actually seeing video proof. For an insane amount of makes, attempts etc to not have to be recorded is absurd and ridiculous.
Saludos a Mike y salud.
