These are original videos of my beloved animals, especially ferrets. All creatures have been created on the 6th day and they also contain a soul, the breath of life. Please cherish and help animals where you can as they are heavenly created beings.
No Way ! The name "ferret" is derived from the Latin furittus, meaning "little thief", a likely reference to the common ferret penchant for secreting away small items - thats why they have no pockets like kangaroos !

We wold never use a cage as its unnatural for these predators. When we had ferrets to take care of we had seperated an entire room and used old furniture that they had some sleeping spaces together with at least 4 different litter boxes. My animals always had an outside home with much room to play and also an isde shelter to protect them from bad weather. I feel so sorry for ferrets who are only beeing held inside.
@@Heavenly_Ferrets I was wondering what your useing in their litter boxes? I use newspapers. Kitty litter stays under their claws. When they groom the silt gets swallowed and grinds thru their g.i. Trac. I have rescued a lot of ferets that were bleeding from their rectum. Even the green litter is the same. I have some dumb neibourz thet use corn fiber. The cat is breathing in the dust and now has respiratory problems. But they won't listen to me. I get old newspapers from my local newspaper office. It's cleaner. Healthier . Easier to use and free.
You will encounter this toy many times soon on this channel. You could try to increase the volume of your PC to see if your ferrets react to this too :-)
What a wonderful boy. I've trained my ferrets to go in litter boxes and on pee pads. In the cage, they're 100% good with the boxes. Outside the cage, they go on the pads about 80% of the time. Still lots of messes to clean up. I definitely cannot get them to go on command though hahaha!
Of course it only works after getting up if they need to go to the toilet. Its like in our case. How many times the doctor asks for a sample of urne and you think "How am i going to squeeze it out as i dont need to go right now" :-)
I ❤ ferrets. Growing up, my family had your typical dogs, cats, fishes. Seen videos of squirrels, beaver, racoon, possum, chip munk, bear, tiger, badger. I've personally own parakeets, parrotlets. I just love the ferret's dooking, war dancing, kleptomaniac nature, inquisitive. IMHO, no other animals makes a better pet than a ferret.
Absolutely. I grew up with dogs and horses and although i love every creature that God made i am totally in love with ferrets. You will see why when the Norris videos will be published in chronological order in a few months.....
Thanks for your interesting comment. I would agree on the sunlight issue but i am looking for anything regarding the ability of night sight. I found this : www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0042698903000154 . Can you provide me with a link regarding night sight? I would appreciate it!
@@Heavenly_Ferrets the only way to improve night vision is to take him out at night. That's why they sleep all day.they are nocturnal and hunt at night. When you take him out at night hide a few treats so he can hunt .that will help.
They must be young ferrets. They will lose interest as they get older. I've adopted ferrets for 30 yrs. And as they age they won't be so energetic. So enjoy them at this age.
When they are slowly examining the environment oyu often see them like this. Here is a link: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7258713/ "Normal ferrets are hyperactive and have a characteristic hunchback posture while taking small steps."
What a harsh word. It depends on the relation beween man and animal. If the bond is strong then the animal will understand you by using the same words for example, or if you are willing to train the animal by using a clicker or a reward then it might work. If the chemistry does not fit then it might not work either way. When we were caretaking ferrets of other owners we had some who were totally unapproachable maybe due to the new environment. I have discoveréd some i cant get along with but imho its mostly the experience or trauma of the animal and his character which is totally opposite to mine.
@Heavenly_Ferrets I have trained mine out of most of their bad habits. But there's some they still refuse to do, especially when it comes to potty etiquette. They are very stubborn and will actively do things with full knowledge I'm going to try and scruff them or spray water at them to give some kind of deterrent. My white sable will stare at me right in the eyes, and I mean he twists to ensure full eye contact! Then decide he wants to poop NOT on the puppy pads I have in every corner of the room but instead on whatever he can climb. It's infuriating how he leaves presents on my writing chair. If I can stop him in time he'll go to the corner in defeat. I give plenty of attention so I know he's not baiting me. He's just so insistent though and no matter how much I try to talk his language or give treat reinforcement he just won't willingly use the pads. I also tried litter with different mediums like cat pellets, straw, wood chips, and even sand but they use it as bedding or as something to play in. They even hate their dig box I spent like 80 bucks on! I just don't know what makes them happy at this point. T~T
@@keosniper I am sorry to hear about these problems but i find myself not in a position for any recommendation anonymously out of the distance. Every animal has its character and maybe your sable ferret has an aversion against these toilets, maybe he did had a bad experience using them (just maybe.....). The trick with water spraying only wolks to cool them off if they overdid something. Of course there were ferrets that i couldnt get use to too, mainly those who just came by to be taken care of for the holidays of their owners. Quite aggressive ones, too. We had dozens of them, some of them totally psychopaths. But my personal ferrets, they were something else as there is this strong bond between us that they know what i am talking about. They dont necessarily understand each word but i modulate my voice also so that they are aware if its good or bad. Its like reading your thoughts. T But i would never say that i educated them. You will see in "My best friend Norris" how that special bond has been made.
