Come study old-time or bluegrass banjo with some of today's best players. Hands-on classes, demonstrations, two faculty concerts, and lots of great jams. Also tracks in guitar, fiddle, mandolin and bass. www.midwestbanjocamp.com
One of my biggest thrills was seeing Pat Donohue play when A Prairie Home Companion came to Town Hall in NYC. One evening the guest was Tommy Emmanuel, and they did a duet. Fantastic!
Jeepers this has moved me in a significant way! Really keen to learn the banjo part but fairly new to the clawhammer caper and can’t figure it out for myself. If the was any chance someone out there could throw together a rough lesson or tab, well… gee I would be grateful!
Riley, your rendition captures the soul and sorrow beautifully. It captures her version better than any other thst I have heard. I know she would approve. I have, as a young boy, heard her play it many times in her home. She was my aunt. Thank you. 🙏
