Thanks. I created the midi from the sheet music and did it all by programming, as I'm a terrible, terrible keyboard player - it took quite some time. I've tried finding midi files for other projects I've worked on, but always end up finding the conductor's score and starting from scratch.
It's very, very good, I only wish there would be end-all be-all strings sample library that didn't need layering with another, maybe the upcoming Vista II will finally achieve this...
This is great! If I may, as a fellow user of SampleModeling Brass, square-shaped dynamic contours should only be used in very specific circumstances, and only as an exception to the rule. Generally, orchestral players are taught to give notes a smoother contour. One of the things that makes SM Brass so great is how playable it is - you can sculpt every note! When you listen to music, listen carefully to musicians’ choices in phrasing. Listen critically to the nuances of performance.
Thanks! Apologies for not replying sooner. I've just uploaded a newer version which I personally think is much, much better - check it out and see what you think.
Very nice mockup my friend!!! 0:09s This is amazing, have you used articulations in sforzando??? Some time ago I also made a mockup using cinebrass and samplemodeling, CCS and CCSS and cinebrass percussion. I love your mockup, for my taste it lacks a bit of reverb. Great job! Greetings.
Thanks! I haven't used any articulations for the brass or winds, as these are the Infinite plug ins - I drew in the modulation and played with the velocity until I got the sound I wanted. I find reverb is such a tricky thing to get right, and I'm still really a complete novice when it comes to mixing and mastering! If you have your mockup posted I'd love to listen to it.
@@louboe For a newbie sounds very very good! I'm also a rookie. I don't have a youtube channel, I'm embarrassed ha ha ha. But if you want to listen to my mockup I upload it to another site. Never finish it, someday. Do you have an email that I can send you the link?
Thanks. All VSTis. Mostly infinite brass and woodwinds. Goldfinger would be a good one to do in the future - currently working on the flying theme from ET :)
@@louboe oh cool! I wrote out the ET end credits last fall (piano reduction) and have been looking for an excuse to put it up for orchestra to get a better grasp of my own DAW. You should do a Patreon page and share your projects. I'd contribute.
