This video was so helpful! I was amazed with my friend hooping and she got me a hoop last year, I started really getting into it the past few months and seeing this video was a lovely way to kickstart the experience. Thanks so much! Really excited for the journey
Hi thank you so much for making this video... I ordered a 44in polypro 🙄🙆 is this a no go if I'm like a learning hooping again? I already have as weighted 40in 1.5 don't know if it has a psi or anything it's definitely thick but it surely isn't moving slowly 😂 can't keep the dagon thing up
Hi Kimberly! 44in is outside of my personal range of sizes I usually go for, but everyone’s journey is different so it could work well for you depending on your body’s measurements! I hope you can start finding your flow with it :)
@@IndigoFlowArts thanks I have a weighted 1.5 40 in and it's been tedious ...I get that so many suggest weighted because it goes slow but this is not going slow enough 😆🤣😂🙆
@@IndigoFlowArts thank you for response ✨ I have really enjoyed watching your intro video on hoop sizes and also the other tutorials. Wish you the very best! ✨
Good point about keeping the body moving, need to remember that. I keep trying not to get bonked in the head or clotheslined by the hoop! Maybe if I just keep thinking, "flow.. flow.. flow.. "
Measure the distance from the floor to your lower belly button, or slightly below. If you’re getting a hoop larger than 30” go for HDPE as it will be more durable!
I'm soo glad I'm watching this cause I'm a beginner Flow artist my main props are wands, poi, silks and sometimes pole but I recently seen more hooper especially on Instagram so I'm hear for all the hype🌀🌀 Thank you for sharing your journey 🌬🍃🦋
It depends how you’ll be practicing with the hoop. Weighted hoops are generally considered better for fitness, and they can be a bit riskier if you’re doing certain tricks like coinspins. Those are usually safer and easier with lighter hoops. Consider what you want to learn and how that might be affected by the hoop weight that you choose!
coincidence you mentioned moving around while you’re learning. i’ve only been hooping for 3 weeks but today i just started moving around more and tricks came so much easier !!!
Thank you dear:-)I'm 5feet&lean, can I buy a 40" for my beginner hooping? Before I didn't know&maybe got a kid's hoop must be around 25" lol. Was going nowhere with it. Please reply. God bless.
@@IndigoFlowArts hi! and noo its like a two hour ride and its in sort of red zone so T ^ T Cant wait to dive into the hula hoop community here once its all clear!
"Should show your hoops love as they show you love." (*proceeds to smack two HDPE hoops together*) 😂 amazing video and even as a hooper for a year now I actually learned a few things here. Love your videos!
