I remember this sound from our company truck used to carry loads ups and downs of the tea estates in kerala, i was 5-6, now 70! Miss those monsters never said no....
And don't forget money ! parts are really expensive ,I've a mate who's mad about international crawlers I was looking for a b100 before finding the John Deere 👍
Thought for a moment he had forgot to take the door with him !!!.....then seen it on the tractor in the last photo, looks like it's found a good home anyway Robin.
I bet your glad to see that engine out!!🙂 You just gotta keep plodding alone with these sort of projects! Good time to check all seals and gaskets, wile it’s in half. She is well built machine and you don’t seem to be finding much rust👍
To start an old Zetor like that: - push the key down in position 0 (or you can use a 3" nail, just need to make contact) - handthrottle at 75% - if engine is cold - push in the coldstart button on the fuelpump - push the startbutton. Turning the key to position 1, 2 or 3 just switch on the lights. 1 is parkinglights, 2 is headlights low beam and 3 is headlights high beam. The levers on the floor: Right lever is High/Low gear series selector. High - neutral - Low Left lever is for engaging PTO/Hydraulic pump. Has several positions for different options. Engines on these tractors are very reliable, and starts up easily in very cold temperatures. Cheap parts available, and easy to maintain and fix.
Nearly wide open throttle, push the cold start button on the pump, dip the clutch and press the start button (big push button on you right knee) that’ll start up first time every time. Handy little tractor.
I had a Zetor 6911 Robin...Hi-Lo gear lever is one of those on floor between your legs & main gears are the 1-5 plus reverse on the one that you were moving with your right hand, should be a decal near the lever showing you the gear positions...hope this helps mate.
My late uncle bought one of them brand new back in the 70s, faithful old thing. Zetor were ahead of there time really, especially with the bungalow cab!😀 Only problem he used to have was if he didn’t use it for a wile brakes would start binding, my zetor Christal would do same thing. There is a bit of an art adjusting zetor brakes. Probably best if you can find it a new home, Fairly easy restoration and it’s a runner too👍
It was definitely easier to get the cowling off once you got all the bolts out Robin. I did keep shouting at you to take the bolts out of the belly pan!! 🤣😂😁😆. Take care working on your own. First class workshop / barn. 👍
Yes definitely a well built bit of kit! But it is a deere! Is that one of there tractor engines? Or one specifically for a drott. Yes you need to prop them lift arms, better to be safe than sorry!🙂👍
Thanks Dave I think the engine was made for plant use .and I think its a great bit of kit also , but some of the comments which have been removed its a pile on s##t and my channel 😂😂😂😂
@@OutofTownwithRobinBell well if the clutch is the only major problem you have to deal with that can’t be too bad for a restoration project. And as long as your enjoying yourself in your great workshop! You just carry on robin!👍
Thank you very much Sir for taking the time and effort to show us exactly what I need to do, I like to do this kind of job but don't know where to start, and tricks like the one with the rope twine for spring Michel Canada French speaking ...
No Thank you so much for the nice comment this is why I love doing this but you are the exception as you can imagined some of the comments I get so again thank you and hope you keep watching this👍
@@ChasTass that’s amazing turn out! And lot seated in every trailer as well. It did take 25 minutes for them to come out that entrance so thought it must be a lot!!👍
Where there is a will there is a way!! Good you got her inside, you can make a start now. If the pins are good, least someone been greasing her. Nice to see you calling her a drott, younger folk don’t seem to know what that is nowadays. I believe it was drott who invented the 4 in one bucket, so any dozer with his buckets on became a drott. Think you got interesting project there robin!👍
Great collection! And nice to see old ones doing bit of work. The raf standard fordson is bit rare! Don’t suppose they needed mudguards, Only running up and down the runways with fuel and bombs. Great find robin👍
Well after you got the two tractors stuck, you should be just fine with this one mate!😀 Like you say” it’s nice to have Something bit different” She don’t look too bad, just keep asking for spares, surprising sometime how things come along. Interesting👍
Just goes to show robin we really don’t know what folk have got in there sheds! Hope he takes some of it out to rallies for people to see, I would not mind the matador lorry👍
Sounds like a diesel. My brother bought a new Bedford "pug Nose" in the 1950's. He drove it until the speedometer went round the clock twice. He died all his own mechanical work .His truck had a petrol Motor.
