Po smrti Freddiho se Mary zachovala velice spatne ke vsem kteri se o Freddiho starali v jeho poslednich chvilich. Zradila jeho pamatku a jeho posledni prani. 😂😂😂😂
Well done video. FYI, Staatsburgh is a Livingston-Mills home (not a Vanderbilt property). And, Boscobel has an extraordinary history that is notable and worthy of including.
Given the amount of scenes from the "Coven" season of "American Horror Story" used in the video, it seems that the very least that could've been done was to acknowledge that series in the video. Most especially as Kathy Bates won an Emmy for her portrayal of Mme Delphine LaLaurie.
Mary has given her life to Freddie since she was 19 years old. She's now 73 and wants to settle her affairs which is normal for someone her age. Everything at the auction was well taken care of as is Garden Lodge. People who criticize her are pitiful.
Oh my these homes were and are spectacular in so many ways. Because care of craftsmanship was key! I’m a wood lover so any and all be they built ins or carved. So many wondrous mantels were wood. I see in comments quite a ‘few’ upset with pronounciations. Although in America we don’t speak English, it’s slang so why the attitude tickles me. I do understand it’s respectful yet WE can’t pronounce half of your names😝🤷♀️🤦♀️. Knickers can be twisted here, so gird your loins kind sir, just delete or block the unkind. I subbed because you’re not a robot! 🙏🏻❤️😁
@@oldmoneylives you’re welcome! Everyone is so harsh on this keyboard when upset or triggered. My aim daily and moment to moment uplift and jokes, because we all need ‘feather’ training…😁in other words lightening up! 🙏🏻❤️🦩💨
Always loved Harold Lloyd - I'll have his gaff "cum the revolution!" And a cleaner, And a cook, And a gardener, And if the pool guy goes near my wife again he's dogmeat...
Part of the park belongs to the king so he can have some privacy. They move a string fence around so tourists dont go into the wrong parts. The theater is not up to modern fire codes so when there is a performance they use two airstair trucks and drive them up to the windows on the upper floors so people can evacuate if something happens
I have not been able to ascertain the square footage of this mansion, and this may be why it does not appear on a list of the 100 largest mansions ever built in the United States. While it was the largest house in America for a short while (until Biltmore opened several months later), this was prior to the building of Lynnewood Hall (110,000 sq ft) and Oheka Castle (109,000 sq ft). These two mansions are now shown as 2nd and 3rd largest. Very informative, but the excessive number of photos that have nothing to do with Shadow Brook is rather disconcerting to someone familiar with it and misleading for anyone who is not.
Yep, that is what I saw too. This is one of the most famous portraits of Louis XV 🙂 I guess this portrait is here because of the Alliance set between France and Sweden during his reign.
Speaking from the perspective of a Hollywood born and raised resident, I am profoundly disappointed by this selection. While the premise and labeling proclaims these mansions are literally in the Hollywood (the municipality) district of greater Los Angeles, not one of these selections; I feel compelled to stress not a single one is located within any of Hollywoods boundaries. Both in its early cityhood as well as post 1912 addition to the city of Los Angeles. With preindustrial film ear Hollywood boasting a fantastical number of true mansions and gardens, the fact that they are all left unappreciated and likely unrealized by whomever produced this asides from the AI component, the ignorance of the true history and culture of early Hollywood is my sole takeaway.
Hollywood is a neighborhood, and also a metonym for the American film industry. You’ll notice this video focuses on homes built or purchased by giants of the film business!
Nothing in this video was produced by AI. And indeed, as per the other comment “Old Hollywood” refers primarily to a film era of Hollywood. However, I would love to hear some more about the mansions you are referring to and will do some more research. This seems to have been a popular topic so will be focusing on it more!
