I have taken on many projects throughout the years. From building cars, bikes to home projects and I decided to start sharing the "d.i.m", do it myself experiences along with other things. I am not an expert on anything more of a jack of all trades. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for watching.

Yes, it was. I remember I noticed after I recorded. I used a part of a bicycle brake part as a spacer. It's hard for me to describe. It's the metal sleeve usually on the end of the plastic part of a brake cable. I put it in between the throttle cable end and the throttle slide cap of the carb. It's basically inside the rubber sleeve thats attached to the cap.. Just make sure it's going to pull out the slack and not get stuck in any way, causing the throttle to not close all the way. I hope I'm not confusing you, too much. This has been working for me. Hope this helps you figure it out. Thank you for watching.
I tuned the carb lean- pilot, needle & main to counter the homemade air box. Still slightly on the fat side with the provided jets, but runs better than previous setup. My favorite part is the bike starts right up. That was always my nightmare from out the box with this thing. If I come up with something else I'll make an update. Thanks for watching.
After the process, I cleaned the area where the decals were going to go with some auto paint prep cleaner or like a windex without alcohol. Then, I applied the decals. Mine are still holding up just fine, and they're cheap replica decals. I hope your works out, too. Thanks for watching.
Thank you asking. I didn't realize I never added them. The parts are now in the description. You will need to copy and paste. I'm currently unable to add links in my descriptions. I think it's bc the channel isn't big enough. Thank you for watching.
Hey man, watched these videos about 5 times each lol. Almost finished the 250x. Hows the light working out? And do you have a part # for the light and converter. Thanks
That's so cool to hear. I put the parts in the video description. Pretty simple to find them on amazon or ebay. I'm just unable to add links at this time. Thank you so much for watching.
@@NOURSEPOWER thanks, damn ive searched both up and down and not one that looks the same or a light with those same mounting brackets. Ive done every replacement if the videos, diff is i did take it down to bare frame and paint everything and wire wheel or replace every bolt. It def wont be seeing any mud lol
@@andysilbereisen2 added a copy and paste link in the description. That converter isn't the exact same but is the same. I apologize, but I'm just unable to add links in descriptions at this time.
Def not comparing to new oem or even new aftermarket plastics. It's just a budget friendly way to take the bike from looking old & tired to clean & way more attractive. Thank you for watching. I'm going to run her hard and will at some point do an honest follow-up.
I use the same oil I put in the case. Or maybe a little cheaper oil bc I let the clutch break in for a day of riding and then change over to the better oil. I'm running Lucas Mc semi synthetic oil 10w-40, right now.
😆 thanks, my friend. So far, so good on that purchase. This is a bike, I just don't want to put much money into it, but I have worked hard to get it safe and reliable. Thank you for watching.
@viceanime7685 Don't feel defeated, my friend. These plastics and bikes take a beating. I'm surprised the materials used from back then haven't become so brittle, they crack just from looking at them at this point. It's really nice we still have the aftermarket option. ##savesportquads
Don't know why people trip when someone takes care of there stuff and makes it look good.....they don't make these machines anymore so....restore it...especially the plastics
True words here. I agree with you ##savesportquads. Plastics are not cheap either, so if the oem just need some love, to me, it's worth the try. I know you can go another level of effort in restoration, but I plan to ride this machine. If it was too nice, i wouldn't want to get her dirty. Lol. Thank you for watching, my friend.
Awesome, thank you for watching. I got the shocks off ebay they're dual rate air shocks for 250x. Slight upgrade from stock but huge step from 38yr old shocks. Lol. I took the spacer off the stock oem shock and cut to about 3/4". No issues yet.
Awesome video!!!! I’m in the process of redoing 1984 Honda ATC 200ES rear fenders. I was afraid to put the heat to them, after watching this I’m not afraid to heat them lol. Thanks for making this. I as well ride my stuff in the woods and silt pits, so I want them to be nice, but still rideable.
Wow! Thank you for the kind words. Work your way up on the heat steps, keep moving, and push it along. You'll see the shine pushing away the dullness once you're doing it. I'm really happy to help, and thank you for watching. 😃
The gray and red both came out clean and bright for 1987 plastics. I wasn't going into a deeper buffing process with an atv that would be ridden on the trails again. Thanks for watching.
Nice work. I have to do my 08' 400ex bushings & my fathers 09' Foreman 500 4x4 bushings. This was nice & straight forward now I know I can pack that sucker full!
Thank you for watching. Good question. Yes, these are the stock 87 ball joints. I was surprised they're still in really good condition. They don't have any extra play, and the boots are not cracked. Honda win. I'm pretty sure their are aftermarket a-arms & ball joints. I believe 300ex are press in & 400ex are bolt on style. If you're referring to the a-arm bushings, they're the same for all trx models. I hope I helped. These parts were Ebay shopped new. Thanks for watching. Reach out again if you have any more questions.
I just looked at my 400ex and if you measure the inside of the opposite side where the ball joint is welded then you know where to cut if that makes sense
Got them off ebay. Search honda 250x air front shocks, 87-92 250x rear shock. 1 slight mod for front shocks. I took the spacer out from the old shock and basically cut it in half to use as a spacer for the new front shock lower bolt. Easy mod. Good shocks, slight upgrade from stock. Thanks for watching.

Thanks, the led is such low resistance it ended up giving her a little to much juice where an incandescent would have been fine like the o.g style.the regulator just need a little more help. I plan to do a ride video on her soon, I'll try to toss in a night shot. Thanks for watching.
The red I was thinking the same after a ride, but even after a wash and a recoat of the shine restorer seemed to bring it right back. I haven't tried on all red or black plastics and those, I'm not sure yet. Thanks for sharing your input and watching the video.
I apologize for some of the out of focus recording. I was battling pink eye in both eyes during some parts I had to redo and editing. All is good now. Thanks for watching.
Looking Even Better! One More Step in the Right Direction! I have them tires on mine as well. there nice, but a little to stiff for me, I have aired them down to the point of them being squeshie, and that helped, but I did not like the feel of them, so I aired them back up a bit. next time I will not get the 6 ply.
These tires look great and were priced right for this project. I went 6ply bc areas to ride around me tend to have a lot of rocks. I appreciate your feedback about them. Thank you for watching, too.
Just found your channel, keep up the hard work man , great content. I do the same stuff and appreciate the tips. I kno it’s hard doing the work and recording but your doing a great job keep it up!
