I just bought a CP7748 1/" impact wrench a couple of days ago. Where do I get the grease that's supposed to lube the hammers? Can't find the stuff anywhere! :( Should have come with the wrench in my opinion!
I just ordered a 717, but I'm really interested in a 4289. I'm a believer in overkill, especially if it has a good trigger, but they're so difficult to find for purchase.
*I love this tool! It is surprisingly powerful•ᴥ•>**share4.photo/dCordlessImpact?57e** I keep trying it on bigger and bigger bolts and it has successfully loosened every one so far, even rusted ones. I keep thinking about buying the 1/2" version, but so far this one has been more than adequate for automotive use. Battery life is excellent. I felt it was a little expensive, but considering its performance, I'd say it was money well spent.*
With the quality, price point and history behind these tools I simply don't understand why more people don't have them. I'm so glad I discovered CP before I bought a popular competitor at a much higher price for very similar functions and way more of a cordless tool line up. Please, keep fighting to get the recognition you deserve Chicago Pneumatic!!
I'm on my third CP7748 model C, the first one lasted 9 months, I would press the trigger and nothing just an air hiss, went back to the store and got it replaced under warranty, the second one lasted 14 months and was no covered under warranty because it had already been replaced, but I liked this some much over my old snap on and it was half the price I though I was out of luck or maybe did treat it right, so I decided to buy the third one......... oh no can't believe I felt for it again 11 months same thing happen again, I should have got a new snap on, Now I'm stuck with another worthless 1/2 gun, or I guess I could use this video to fix it except that will be another $100 in parts to have for another year or so , I would not recomend any one to buy this gun, I have tried to contact them and got no help at all, I got several tools from cp but I would never buy another one ,their stuff is not what they advertise
I went through two also. The first one lasted awhile and didn't malfunction until I tortured it with my hubtamer. The second one locked up several months after buying it with light use. I think the air motors seize on them. I try to oil mine often but it seizes up more than most impact guns I have owned.
please can anyone explain how the black thing witch is allready on the diggers-arm is installed? do you need a hammer? could there be a chance of loosing it during working with the hydro-breaker?
