Them lies that people speak to you and over you can really be detrimental. I had to heal and Holy Spirit renewed my heart and mind for me to stop believing those lies. And to believe what he says about me

I agree with the “no alcohol” sentiment for sure! But Bill Johnson is not someone to be trusted in my opinion. Serious concerns with that movement, do your own research. Love this interview, just had to speak up on that point

Another great podcast John. I know we’ve all been in the places of not wanting to hear the opinions and advice of others, even if it is coming from people that we know love and want the best for us. Some of it boils down to personal levels of stubbornness, pride or just lack of maturity. When we can get out of our own way and see the very gifts of people that God has purposefully placed in our lives to encourage us, it’s a complete eye opener. It is a blessing to have people that aren’t afraid to hold back sharing their observations from their outside looking in point of view. We all need just a few of them that love us and want the best for us, with no ulterior motives, but just have had God place it on THEIR hearts to loving share Godly advice, and wisdom because they love us, want us to prosper, be happy and healthy. The timing of me listening to this today was not by accident either. I have had my youngest daughter on my mind all weekend, but actually for months now. I had some very important pearls of wisdom that I was wanting to share with her. I just got off the phone with her and actually she called me while I was listening to the end of the podcast. I knew that I was already going to send her the link.I told her everything I wanted to say and that I just wanted her to know all of it always comes from the very best place of pure love, and from my perspective as her parent that my job is to protect her always, to firmly & lovingly call her out when I see her floundering. She listened with an open mind because she trusts me once again and she is maturing. She still doesn’t fully embrace or share the faith that Spencer and I have found as Christ followers and in what it means to us to be saved by the blood of Jesus’ sacrifice for us to have eternal life acceptance and repentance. But she absolutely has seen the astounding changes in us because of it. She knows it means everything to us. She knows that Spencer acknowledges it as the only reason that he is still alive and that he is once again clean him sober today.
Ok, sorry, I am long-winded as usual. And my comment got posted before I was finished. But I want to end with saying that I told her I was listening to your podcast that I had her on my mind and in my heart and that I was sending it to her and, she promised me that she would listen to it and I am very grateful.
