Never heard of it so I went and searched it. I can hear it, yeah. It's probably the fact that both that game's compositions and this use midi VSTi and have a small instrument line up.
Yeah, I really love this song because of the uniqueness, yet that is also the problem when finding direct translations/covers. They are always... somehow off a bit. Even in vocals, the first melody is usually absent, which is just a shame as the song would be very much impacted. I'm glad this was softer on the orchestral side lol. 1:59 remains as haunting as the original, and I do like that a lot!
