If your LSAT and academics are not so strong, Cooley Law School Admission Committee may admit you with a lower course load: instead of 5 classes, you will take 4. Good luck!
It is not a secrete that ABA approved law schools apply in their admission standardized tests called Law School Aptitude Test. I have read that this test's main goal is to eliminate a significant pool of law school applicants. Just to give you an example: I have litigated in the past and a read quite a bit of legal theories, etc. When I went to sit in a class at Cornell University School of Law, which school is considered an ivy league, I was more active and prepared from my own reading than the whole Civil Rights class! I would be the most participating "student" had I read the cases in a book that this course required. Hamline University Law School is worth to be look at as well. Cooley and Hamline apply their own standards in admission process. Research well your law schools to which you want to get in !
Cooley Law School applies a special formula for admission, which gives a chance to get in for students who did not perform so well on their LSATs, but who have strong academic credentials (a high Grade Point Average). I encourage everybody to apply. You may be pleasantly surprised that the Admission Committee will take you in. COOLEY LAW is THE WAY !
Marcus Garvey had it right when he said we need to return back to where we came from. I don't know if society is driven by fear of black skin or afraid of reparation for what was done to us for 400yrs. Or may be it's just the bias driven media demonizing us. But things will change and soon. Trust me, this much hate, this much violence against a small percentage of society will not continue.
Doing the right thing is not a microwave proposition. The issue is really how do we get them to do the right thing? They already have had more than the required number of states make legal application for a convention and they have ignored that just like they have ignored passing a budget. The Constitution says "on the application of the Legislatures of two thirds of they several states, SHALL CALL a convention". It likely never crossed the founder's minds that congress would refuse to do it.
A year later I proofread my previous statement and can see that concerning "elite legal minds" it is something that is actually needed considering the "elite corruption" in current play. I see this post is dated 2010 and it is currently 2013. Is there something being done? We the People are desperate. Another Nehamiah is needed.
I saw Mr. Feinberg speak and he was amazing in person. Professor Henke is a great speaker as well. He has always been engaging in the classroom. I'm glad Cooley has had an opportunity to start bringing in public speakers. It's quite inspiring.
This sounds like a good idea but what does it do for today or tomorrow, or even next month? While We the People seek to exercise our Constitutional rights as the true power, brain trust if you will, behind the Government, our lives, our fortunes and sacred honor is continually violated and even stolen. Our Founders indeed knew the propensity of men and it's evil tendencies. The States would not sign the Constitution without the Bill of Rights added and what good has it done?
I don't understand the need for "elite legal minds" in discussing Article V, Outside of the recognition these people will receive. The Constitution was not written in such a way as to inhibit citizens from understanding it. I believe the Constitution is written in such a format as for anyone with average comprehension to understand, in "plain language" It's the corrupt that need to be dealt with severely.
A true patriot who loves their country; America. The USA inc. is a criminal organization which makes La Cosa Nostra look like boyscouts getting a merit badge. "They" have killed a million innocents for every mafia hit. "they" have stolen a billion dollars for every dollar stolen by the mob. Hopefully, the upswing in real patriotism and not blind allegiance continues. "They" have a two century head start, It will take a while to undo what has been done to we Americans.
What the hell is wrong with this country? I suggest the Friends of Article V hire lady gaga to sing their position; perhaps a duet with justin beiber. Then, perhaps this sort of information will come to the forefront. I am disgusted with my fellow americans. It sickens me to see the apathy so prevalent in modern society.
