My professional opinion, as a mechanical engineer, is that "cold air" intake is trash. The stock one at least has ducting to the filter from the front of the car where it's drawing outside, actually cold, air. Drawing air from under the hood, heated by the engine and turbo and not ducted from the front of the car is counter productive. The turbo compression adds a ton more heat, which I guess is offset by the increased capacity of the larger intercooler. Power is roughly linearly proportional to the DENSITY of the combustion air, not boost pressure, density. Compression creates heat, reducing density...basic ideal gas law stuff.

Hello @rob6271, From our experience, there have been no issues regarding warranty. This is a bolt-on part, the engine management system remains unaltered. We'd advise checking with your local dealer, however from our personal experiences, and those of our existing customers, I feel confident stating that there are no negative ramifications. You missed the point of an actuator. The part itself doesn't increase performance. Adjustable actuators can be adjusted to let the tubo create more boost pressure, but that will need mapping to suit.

@@forgemotorsport Hello AJ, The dump valve simply vents too much air to atmosphere stalling the car. I have contacted forge and provided a video clip. No solution yet. Best, Eddie

Hey NeonGlitchersHD, Thank you for the love! ✌ The manufacturing costs of our carbon fibre products are prohibitive when it comes to maintaining lower prices compared to more budget friendly alternatives. We use only prepreg 2x2 twill carbon fibre, formed in an autoclave using billet tooled moulds, and finished with an anti UV gloss gel coat. Hi Ashley, This would indeed be considered a cold air intake; it's design properties allow for lower IATs (Inlet Air Temperatures) and subsequently improved performance. We've experienced increases of up to 5HP with stock engine management software, with even higher gains likely on tuned vehicles. 🤟 If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
