Beautiful fish and great respect shown in handling. BUT, fishing under that 11000 volt line with a carbon rod? 30 years as a lineman, I've seen too many accidents.
Beautiful fishes man. Great job on the filming. Someday I'd like to come across the pond and catch a barbel or two, coming from the home of Spam in the USA. Nice work.
What club you with pal? Dont recognise your face. Your vids have cause the place to be smashed by poachers. Taffs isnt a hard river ,iv had 100s upon hundreds of barbel for there.
They sell day tickets in Gary Evans, I just phoned them and started looking at vids on here to get an idea of the size of the fish, how do you know his videos have caused poaching? For all you know he's got himself a day ticket and done a video, this is why youngsters are put off fishing, too many condescending middle age blokes thinking they own the river or lake, if there's a poaching problem then the bailiffs can sort it out as you pay you membership you've got nothing to worry about
You don't need to be a member of a club to fish the taff. I purchased my yearly ticket from Gary evans. I'd have to disagree with you as I along with others who fish the taff regularly know it is hard fishing compared to rivers such as the wye and the seven. The barbel are here but finding them is the key. As for the the poachers I would suggest the bailiffs extend their patrol area further than their comfort zone of town/ gabalfa.
@@GUMBOL67 I don't find it hard there at all.its quite easy there. Piss easy in fact. Barbel are the easiest specimen fish you can target, the wye and the Severn are aquariums compared to the taff, its like fishing in a fishtank. Why would anyone want to advertise the fish in the taff? Just leave them be and if you know where to find them, leave it at that. All it takes is for some nod with a rod to watch these vids and go down there and catch them with out the knowledge required to return them safely. There's been complaints about this guy fishing without a ticket by numerous people and the poxy thing only cist what 35 quid. Fact is the number of big barbel is dwindling! So why make a video just for views when in fact your just exposing them to more danger from people that haven't got a clue
One look at the comments on the video will tell you that people will come on here just to find the spots.. these aren't jealous comments. I'm well known on the taff and probably caught those fish twice over.
