Respect Hommage
I remember loving this song in high school when it was featured on the album "Pachebel's Greatest Hit". For over 30 years, I thought this was a man singing. Forgive me, madam!
My take about this Song of the Birds is that he has a deep and direct experience of PEACE. I have. heard this played by others. No one managed to communicate that.
This peace is very beautiful! This is the reason why I tried something new. Slowing it extremely down and putting reverb on it. It creates a fantastic ambient sound: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3nyCPShangk.html
Even though it is wonderful, the piece is not by Casals. It is an old Catalan Christmas carol of unknown author he was particularly fond of. THe Lyrics explain how, on Christmas eve, all birds (including birds of prey) go pay homage to Jesus Christ.
