Thank you for braving the rain. I think nothing more miserable than being in a downpour on the streets of New York City without an umbrella and hundreds of people on the streets. I guess it could be cold, which would make it even more miserable.
I bought a umbrella in Europe years ago in Paris, and someone smartly have added a Crossbody strap to it, so when I didn’t need it, I could just drop it across my body and carry it on my back with no problem. I think people don’t carry their umbrellas because they’re so clumsy, and they will lose them or forget forget.. I have no idea why the umbrella industry does not add a simple strap Crossbody strap like on a purse?
