Hey Mack , yesterday night I watched this movie with you ( A man called Otto) and your story intrigued me. See I’m a woman in my late 50s and I’ve been through all the surgeries you mentioned because of Cancer this is kind of irrelevant with you but all the surgeries are the same they are painful and difficult to recover . Therefore all I want to say is that you are very strong and brave person and I admire your courage and determination to become the man you wanted to be ❤❤❤
I know this is an older video, but I would just like to cosign on the drive home being the aaaabsolute worst 😱 my drive home was an hour long and just like you said, I felt every single bump and pothole, every turn, every stop. it was EXCRUCIATING, almost worse than the entire recovery 😭 but it was 1000% worth it. I am so so glad I did it, it took away a huge part of my dysphoria. not having to suffer through bleeding every single month is something I'm still super grateful for years later. whenever I think of it, I still try to remind myself of how lucky and appreciative I am to have been able to do it thank you for sharing your story 😊

Cica tape was what I was told to use. I'm almost 6wk post op and started it around week 4. My regimen is get up, shower with scar massage in shower, put on strips, have a 14hr work day, come home and take them off, wash them and hang to dry, massage mederma oil in, bedtime. We'll see how they look in a fee months!
I’ve lost some of my range on T and am scared I won’t get back but I know people with my current voice range being able to sing so I think with some lessons I’ll learn to sing with my current vocal chords.
Hi Mack... i'm baffled! how the F did you get through more than a year bleeding, and for the third time in your life?!!! I would not have survived such misery for sure!! my periods back in the day were 2 weeks of bleeding per period and i almost didn't keeo it together back then. if i wiuld have been on my period for longer i for sure would have taken my life at some point. So in conclusion.... you are freekishly strong mentally !! but i do wonder why the H did you not decide to have a hysterectomy before?? I am Peter i started my transistion at 24 yo my last surgery was at 48 yo and still waiting on one more. im 50 yo now. It all took so long first because of protocols and waiting lists and after my phalloplasty in 2012 i experienced 5 years of the worst complications leading up to all kinds of experimental surgeries (5 in total and 4 years of having a supra pubis catheter (catheter hose coming out of a hole in your belly) due to the necrosis of the extended/new part of my urethra. so i know a little bit about discomfort, but surely wouldn't have survived yours! whish you all the best fro ow on and enjoy your newfound FREEDOM!!!
Heads up for the people arriving here 6 years later, Rodeoh quality has gone WAY down, the material and build quality is basically indistinguishable from the white label amazon briefs, and if you get an item with any quality defects their customer service will blow you off and give you the run around before giving you store credit for another pair of briefs that are nearly as bad, and you have to pay shipping and handling a second time. Avoid this company at all costs.

Reading the comments and watching the video I can only shake my head what kind of examples U.S. parents or nannys or whatever must be regarding feelings towards one's body parts. Honestly! Young persons fearing/ feeling uncomfortable going to the doctor/gynecologist? What the actual fudge! This is insane. If, for whatever reasons, a teenager feels awkward with the natural evolvement of their body, it's the parents who should be there to teach them about nature, to love their body and to feel comfortable (not proud!) showing any part of it whenever socially accepted/ within the law/ it satisfies one's needs/ it is necessary and so on. Your body is part of your life from start to finish, anyone who does not feel comfortable in it is doomed for life. Parents who fail to be good examples regarding loving oneself keep their offspring (and possibly their grandchildren, and grand-grendchildren, ...) from ever becoming in peace with their true self. At least there's some hope for people who can afford a psychologist or find a partner who teaches them what their parents have failed to teach.
Between age 16-23 at times I had perms. I have naturally straight hair. So in the 90's perms were a thing in school. My sister is and was a cosmetologist and she permed my hair. I was trying to hide myself or fake it to make it. I was trying to defeat my dysphoria. I haven't had a perm now for over 23 years. I'm happy with me. That's how I relate about curly affecting dysphoria. I have a crew cut and that is easier on my eyes when I look in the mirror.
would microdosing T with voice lessons help prevent the issue of losing voice? as a soprano 1 i’d love to keep my range while also maybe sounding more androgynous…😢
Thanks man, for showing all this. I'm not transphobic and have never been, but when I was young there was not much transgender care yet (unfortunately for transgender people) and so the only trannsgender people you would meet would be quite obviously transgender (not very 'passing'). That's okay too, but, it means I could not always deeply understand why they wanted that. Not that I need to understand someone to be kind to them, of course. But actively seeking out videos by transgender people and seeing how happy they become with their new body, really makes it much more understandable to a cis person. But for that, it requires transgender people willing to share all these (quite personal) things with us cis people! So, thanks for that!
i wanna cut my hair shourt, as im ftm, but im closeted and my mom has made it very clear that she doesnt want it shorter.. im already grounded but idk.. i just wanna be happy. any advice?
Hey Mack. Im a 65 year old straight male and not quite sure how i ended up here lol, but just the same interesting topic for anyone. We obviously don't get to chose our names the 1st time around so getting a 2nd crack at it would be pretty cool. Its interesting the names you thought of Aaron, Auston, Levi, where my generation would likely think Albert, Andrew, Larry. Obviously some names popular in the 40's for example, Agnes, Gertrude, Monica (womens names were easier in this example) likely wouldn't be considered today. Interestingly your choices of Aaron, Jacob and Levi are all strong traditional Jewish names. You must have a strong Christian upbring or jewish names are just cooler lol. Anyway good luck on your journey.
