Amazing idea. Quick question. Do you use many chat with your facebook ads? I'm envisioning a "See Portfolio" button and in the options it has "gallery" as a feature. Then having pricing, booking etc to make it all automated within facebook and not having the need for a landing page? Good idea or bad?
@@thebookedphotographer my thought is the less links to follow, extra steps etc to take like going to a landing page.. the more likely they’ll be engaged enough to follow the prompts to actually see your initial “hook”, typically shown on landing pages, in messenger. Im going to do mini portfolios on there along with faq info and pricing and then try to lead them into researching further. I look at my own experience. Anytime I go to a landing page my bullshit radar is already going off before I even load the page. I think giving a lot of detail in messenger could help people with getting to the initial trust stage and they will then hopefully go to the landing page with more confidence. Definitely planning to use this system as an experiment for sure.
Such a good question! If it's not a lot of flyaways, I simply edit it in LR in minute. If it's more extensive, I send it off to be retouched. Here's the key though - I ONLY do extensive edits like flyaways AFTER my clients purchase them as a product - not before...so my time is covered for the extra editing and / or it doesn't hurt the bank to send it off to a professional editor
Was wondering if you experience leads that get in touch only to realize that most are not interested very much in your service even though they filled out the lead form. Do you believe the client needs to be warmed up to your brand always?
Great question - with any kind of marketing - ads included - they'll be a % of people who are ready to book right away, a % of people who are interested but not quite ready and a % that sneak on even though they are not really interested in what you have or aren't serious about it. It's great when we get the people who are ready right away but if not, it doesn't mean that the marketing isn't working. There is an element of keeping your leads warm and nurturing them via social media content, emails, texts etc.

I am going to try this, I was told by another photographer, to NEVER use FB ad's, that she never ever spends money on ad's. I see your point also. Just trying to learn the best way to reach potential clients. Thanks for these wonderful tips.
