Not to mention, you could damage the washing machine from detergent build up around the rotary seals. There are actually some washing machine manufacturers that will actually void the warranty for liquid fabric softener or too much detergent such as Fisher and Paykel.

The problem is that washers don’t use water any more to clean clothes. 3 cups of water is not enough to clean your clothes.

The first reason why you guys have stiffen crunchy clothes is because you use washing machines that try to wash all of your clothes and 2 cups of water. I have a traditional top load washer and if I ever use too much detergent, I just do an extra rinse.I hardly ever have to pre-treat anything
