When you import your account from coinbase into metamask, does your wallet still exist on coinbase or assets in that wallet are still tied to the ild coinbase account?
that is a good question. I presume you are talking about Coinbase wallet, the non-custodial wallet. The mnemonic passphrase will seed the generation of the same private key and accounts on MetaMask. Those account “live” on the blockchain, so they are effectively the same accounts in MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet. Hope I was able to answer your question… 🤙
@@decentrawise Perfect! Thank you all! I figured it would all be tied together by the mnemonic seedphrase regardless of what wallet it is being imported into.
Hi Great channel and very good advice I like your straight forward and honest approach to teaching. Im really interested in Blockchain and Im starting my journey to learn Blockchain Development I´m over 40 so its not as easy to learn! but I do want to see the industry grow and Even though I have a job I like I still really want to learn.. This channel really helps. Thanks. keep it up!
Do you think it would be feasible to have a community of AI for a BORG? Humans can sometimes be difficult to be self aware to manage their own emotions. Using ChatGPT and communicating with it cuts out having to manage emotions as well as creating efficiency within the AI organization. 😅Just a thought
The beauty of BORGs is exactly the removal of human decisions from the economic governance. Blockchains and code are the ones in charge, humans just serve the chain with some minor subjective parameters, for the chain to decide how to operate. Perfect place for AI integration! 🤙
I am caught up in a tutorial hell. I keep watching lot of videos, but this video highly motivated me to start with contribution and concentrate on developing my skills
For anyone else who struggles finding the extensions mentioned in the video: Solidity Debugger Pro by Robert Aachen Solidity Visual Developer by tintinweb I did not install sither though
Software Developer is the basis. You need to learn to develop before you can move to any other field like web3. But today there are plenty of info online that can help you in achieving that goal. All the best in your endeavor! 🤙
You guys talked about a lot of valuable things that one can already hear online or say to himself (with some common sense), but to hear those words from real people is definetely better than telling them to yourself! As a computer scientist and currently a Cloud Consultant, I started with bitcoin and ethereum whitepapers, then moved to CriptoZombies while parallely implementing Solidity and React projects that I can follow through RU-vid. I'm going to create a bunch of repos that showcase already made projects implemented by myself without a third part guidance and finally I'm going to implement an idea that I've had, and I don't even want to know if there's something out there that already does it. It's very clear when you read about job postings on LinkedIn that this industry is very different from the IT bubble market of two, three years ago where everybody could get hired in some company with just a CRUD repository with a simple MySQL DB configured locally with four queries in the codebase. Things are getting more and more difficult in almost every field, with this one being a no joke. I don't know if this market cycle is coming to an end or if it's just loading up for great things to come, but in doubt I'm going to learn this stuff because it's here to stay, otherwise it would have been already dead. I'm regretting not starting two years ago when I started trading criptocurrencies, but I was blinded by money and stupid get rich now or never concepts that somehow got inflitrated in my mind ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's time to go for it and not miss a single detail on this stuff, because hackers are watching, and blockchain users are investing money.
LEARN TO SELL YOURSELF, BE AGGRESSIVE & OBSESSED & ACT DAILY ON YOUR GOALS. Having a website portfolio is a given. Techs are generally introverted and not used to having to sell themselves.
You’re right, that also helps. But it is a side improvement, as if you don’t have a strong portfolio or presence in open source, and also not much experience, selling yourself very well just can help you so much… and if you go over the top, you can easily make yourself sound ridiculous to the interviewer. But yes, practicing that can help! 🤙
@@decentrawise Getting hired is mostly by perseverance which leads to luck - most hires are political. Somebody is liked and the timing is right - they've interviewed a number of people and can not make up their minds so they are at a point where they need to hire somebody asap.
I’ve started learning this in the last few weeks but only so I can know how to hire good people for my project. Feel free to reach out to me if you are reading this …
Security researcher for web3 i learnt from Patrick Collins and working as auditor and pen tester as i also learnt cybersecurity. Avoid courses when u pay I learnt all from self learning and Patrick Collins but i chose to go into security researcher.
I am doing the same, Patrick's course is the best, and he is a great teacher, I am learning a lot in a very short time (but I have 15 years experience in web2.0 , not starting from the very beginning). 🙏
Sure, but you should be aware that accuracy of the ai audit can be good, but human verification for completeness is always needed… Here are a couple: - auditor.0x0.ai/ - app.chaingpt.org/
I am a full stack backend developer currently learning Blockchain, I make around 65K per year in the UK working fully remote from Asia, and I would be very happy if I can find my first Blockchain job for less money than this. On the other hand guys, is there a course (or courses) do you recommend for people who already are experienced devs? Thanks
You’ll probably find some job when the market opens up later in 2024. Well, that depends on the area you are focusing on, but if it’s Solidity smart contracts the I think CTF challenges like Ethernaut from OpenZeppelin are a cool way to learn and also get a sense about security as well.
Spot on! It's very hard at the start, learning -> looking for a web3 job -> getting a web3 job without pay -> getting one that does not pay well -> learn again (learning directly from live smart contracts and reverse engineering them) -> finally started my own project -> scaling the project Good luck to others that are in the same position as me. 🚀
Exactly. Glad it resonated with you too. We also went through that, and that’s why we think is important to know it beforehand, so that newcomers align expectations. Many channels tell fairytales about 6 figure jobs… that will come, but with hard work… lot’s of it! 🤙
This was a Great episode, I like that the hosts are very honest about how difficult it is to get a Job in this market and they provide a realistic approach on what to focus on, while building your web3 career.
Great content, just one question, why didn't you have to import the Force.sol contract file or create an instance of the Force contract into the TakeMyMoney contract ? How comes it worked?
Thanks! 🤙 We don’t need the Force.sol, because we only need another contract with some eth to selfdestruct and force the eth to attack the Force contract, right? That’s why it worked. Hope it makes sense now… 👍
I'm a beginner and I just started learning Web 3 development and now hearing this news is scaring me 😢, is it really that bad to get hired as a web 3 developer as of now?can you shed me some light of hope😢
Don’t be scared, technology is always like this, and web3 is on the cutting hedge of technology, so it makes it a more competitive space. We just want pass the right idea of this space, so that people don’t think that it will be piece of cake to start making a lot of money, because it is not. But with a lot of work, anyone can achieve a nice position in this space! Just don’t expect it to be tomorrow, you will need to put in the work and gain the right experience first, then you will be ready for prime time! 😎
@@decentrawise okay I'll be consistent in learning and will stay more determined and will surely beat the odds of this harsh hiring trend of this market
@@decentrawisewhat does it mean, I'm new to Web 3 community and I just started learning it. Is it getting better or gonna get better? What does it mean
The market is turning. For beginners, we recommend that you join a community and offer to help. You’ll learn a lot from that, if they accept your help.
This was quite informative. You have covered most of the concerns I had. Thank you so much for honouring the request. More questions coming your way as I unravel the journey to Web3. And Miguel, you definitely butchered myname, 😂😂 lol
Probably one thing you might have forgotten to mention ; your take on longevity of auditors in regards to the current AI integration in most of tech stacks, and also emerging auditing tools doing so well like this recent Olympix tool, which performs better than Slither by 80%....
Thank you for the idea. We thought it made all the sense to address the topic as it is not very common on RU-vid. Yeah, AI is probably a topic for an entire episode. We have that in our topics list… 🤙
Thanks! We tried to share all the base details for each one to be able to check and decide if this career path makes sense for them. Hope we helped to bring clarity to a space with not so much information. 🤙
