Anyone watching, be aware: These are great ways to make money from your ongoing expense of RV OWNERSHIP. But RV Share will only favour the renter, NOT the RV owner. I have first-hand experience, and I know a few others. RV Share is only concerned about how much money they are making from the owner and will not work or listen to the owner if the renter causes damage to your RV because money flows from renter to RV Share to owner, and RV Share takes their cut from both sides. That is why the opening statement in this video is, "Your renters are the most important people in your business," and for RV Shares, too. My question to RV Share is, Can you do business without RV OWNERS? I ask because RV Share keeps almost 40% of the money after insurance and taxes. That means RV Share is making money from the owner also. Split is somewhat 60/40 of the pool. Some platform makes it more of a stress then fun.
Hello there, we can certainly look into this experience you had if you can reach out to us at 1-888-482-0234. We do have account managers available for each territory that help owners maximize their listing and grow their business. If you need your account manager's information, we can certainly provide that for you as well. The rental price and fees that are charged at time of booking (not including tax) are charged commission according to the commission rate on your listing. You can find your commission rate by logging in to your RVshare Dashboard, clicking on your name in the top right navigation, and selecting Account Information. Your commission rate is based on the amount of revenue that is booked on RVshare’s platform. If you have further questions, a rental coach can discuss the specifics around your account.
Your total cost will depend on several factors. The cost of the RVshare Protection Plan is calculated using a daily rate that is based on multiple factors including the type, length, and stated value of the RV. We have a whole video on how to bring down the cost of an RV rental vacation that we recommend if you're traveling on a budget. Also, our Booking Services team can assist you in finding the best option for your budget & needs! Give us a call at 1-888-482-0234.
Happy you found it helpful! If you have any other questions about the process in general call us at 1-888-482-0234 and we’ll be more than happy to help!
Hello Jacob! If you receive notification of a violation or charge from a toll within the 72 hour period following the end of a reservation, add the charge and a photo of the invoice or receipt to the Expenses for Review section of the Return Form. You can find the Return Form in the Documents section of your Reservation Details. If you do not receive the invoice until several weeks after the end of the reservation, we do accept requests for reimbursement if submitted in a timely manner. These requests can be submitted for review to Customer Experience. Be sure to include the reservation ID, a photo of the violation, and the amount that needs to be charged. Thanks!
Hello! As an owner, it is up to you and the renter how you would like to handle this. Please reach out to us at 1-888-482-0234 and we can further assist.
My listings have been blocked for a few weeks now. I called and emailed but I have not had a response back as to why they are blocked or what you can do about it. Any input on this?
Is part of the rental, does the rented know that they need to return the RV how they received it? because the few times I got my RV it did need additional clean up.
Hi Joe, it would be best to put a detailed description in your listing to indicate how the unit should be returned. If you feel the renter needs to pay a cleaning fee, please add that onto the Return Form. You can certainly indicate that a cleaning fee will be applied if the unit is not returned how it was picked up. Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear of the issues you are having with the SmartMatch feature. Your information was reported to the team responsible for controlling product features, and they are aware of this at this time. For now, the best suggestion we have is to act on any SmartMatch leads you receive for the setting to remain active. You will want to activate SmartMatch, wait to get matches, and act on one of them all in the same day. The matches run hourly, but it is also dependent on there being relevant renters within that corresponding timeframe. Unfortunately, there could be a delay if traffic is low in your area. There was also a recent increase in the timeframe for when we match renters with owners from 24 to 72 hours, which could contribute to delays. This was due to an increase in renter complaints of receiving unsolicited SmartMatch communications before they were ready. Unfortunately, the delay is not something that will be changed at this time. I apologize for any frustration. The best chance of SmartMatch availability sticking would be to activate SmartMatch in the morning, check back throughout the day and that same evening to see if you’ve received matches and send as many messages as you can. If you activate SmartMatch then don't act on any immediately, SmartMatch will be deactivated again the next night. New features like the performance metrics that just launched are being created based off user feedback, so renters will be able to see which owners are actively managing their listings on the platform. This allows renters to make more educated decisions on who they are interested in reaching out to. Optimizing your performance metrics is the best way to increase your chances of renters reaching out to you and booking with you, decreasing the need for SmartMatch. Performance metrics can help with ranking you higher in the search results, and are based off your interactions with renters; your response rate and time with renters, your acceptance rate, and your cancellation rate. Renters' complaints and feedback we received was that they didn't get a chance to search what worked best for their needs before receiving many unsolicited messages. The delay implemented recently is meant to give the renters the chance to see what they can find on their own without being overwhelmed. Your feedback has been noted so the development and product teams may keep it in mind as they continue to work on optimizing features for both parties on the platform. We would suggest you reach out your RVshare Account Manager so you may go over how you can best strengthen your performance metrics.
Hi Annette! Thanks for the question. You do not need to become an LLC to rent your RV on our platform, however, you can if you'd like to be. Hi Kaity, pardon me if I've misspelled your name, I just wanted to say that your video was NOT long but rather very informative and relevant😊 I truly appreciate it. Hi Elaine, thanks for reaching out. We don't have a specific video recommendation but we do have a guide for creating a user manual for your RV. Having a physical user manual in your RV is also helpful for people in areas with limited WIFI. It should also give you some general pointers on what to include in a video. Hope this helps! rvshare.com/blog/rv-user-manual/

This was helpful! Not gonna lie, it was distracting me a little bit how Andrew would not look toward the camera/computer and just kept looking at the ceiling and at the ground, HA. But other than that, I enjoyed the video and really appreciated the info both of these guys shared about their personal experience. Thank you and keep them coming!

I thought about renting my Tiffin Allegro But I know there was no way a renter could handle a 40 ft diesel coach. Much to many systems and I’m very picky I don’t even put TP down the black tank. I throw it away in a trash can then empty. If I had a cheap C perhaps I’d do this.
That is a big beautiful rig! We have all sorts kinds of RVs on our site and all sorts of renters. Thank you, this was very informational. Maddi, you were a great host! Glad to hear that Rv Share is stepping up in the insurance department. One major complaint that I have is every time I have spoke to customer service, the person on the other end has a heavy accent as if they are in or from India. I have had to actually hang up on one person and call back to get someone that understood English well enough to get done what needed to be done.
As a long time owner I must say I didn't love getting the e-mail from RV Share about DigiSure. It looked super phishy. How can we trust DigiSure isn't going to sell our personal information?
