Not anymore you see those kind of things , from your plane because there are restrictions on air flights now a days it's all about a to b and c and back, , no site seeing anymore, ,
For them it was like going to the space but people were calm, no stress but but but, guy next to you smoke like a chimney and didnt even apologize b/c he was the modern city guy but you a villager who never seen a Marlboro. Love it.
Imagine being born in 1895 Hearing about the first powered flight at Kitty Hawk as an 8 year old and by the time you are elderly seeing man land on the moon. It must’ve been incredible. Going from a flying kite basically to massive metal planes flying in the air. The world changed so much from the industrial revolution until the mid 50’s. It’s just amazing. Even my own grandmother who’s 89 has seen a massive change. Being a little girl during WWII and recalling what her Italian father did during the war along with his 6 brothers. A lot of great change in that period. To advance human kind. I wonder if some of those changes though will ultimately lead to our downfall. Like If some sort of limitless power is ever truly invented and population growth exploded even more we will be like an old farmhouse filled with rats with no more food eating each other to survive. Not sure why overpopulation isn’t spoken about as more of an issue. Supply and demand is what drives prices. Think more people than ever could be driving the cost of items? Surely it does for housing.
Fantastic Footage. Peter Collins was an incredible driver, but seems to have been forgotten about over the years. Its a shame as he would have been the first British F1 champion, if it wasn't for an incredible selfless act of giving up his car to Fangio. Glad to see he has a memorial just recently unveiled and his grave has been looked after. Hope to visit it one day.
Yes... I started in the rubber powered escapement era back in the 50s, and I remember the reed multi-channel sets, then the proportional radios came out. The first on I saw was a Bonner Digimite. The gear now sure has come a long way....
I remember when flying was something you got dressed up for. Now it’s like a Greyhound in the sky. My Son is a Pilot for Delta flying internationally. I thank all the Pilots who have gone before him! Whenever I see him in his uniform and cap I am so proud of this 34 year old!✈️👨✈️✈️
