Fine hair with a similar length, i’m always looking for a way to add interest and volume. I use the twist turns on the side for various styles, for the look, and because they tuck in the short bits. I only use spray if i am leaving the house, or staying with friends or family, so i won’t need to fiddle with it. I have not tried the pony tail poofs, or pooffing side turns, but i will. Thank you.

Very nice cinnamon buns.😀Just one hint: When you do wrap the hair anti-clockwise, it is better to insert the stick from the left side to counterbalance the dissolving tendency of a spirally made bun. Just try it out - you will feel the difference.
@TheSourceOfWit
@TheSourceOfWit Год назад
Thanks for the tip. I can't try it out anymore because my hair is now too short for a cinnamon bun, but hopefully it will help others.
@fionafornarina
@fionafornarina Год назад
@@TheSourceOfWit Hi, thanks for your quick answer. 😀I actuallys don't know how short your hair is now, but one can do still a Cinnamon Bun with not so long hair, when not taking in all hair at once, but for instance, you make a round with half of your hair, and for the second round, you insert the remaining hair into the strand in several tranches, so that the thickness of the strand remains the same over a longer time and the strand becomes longer. This is also a way for people with much taper, who have a big first round and then almost nothing to wrap around. Or you wrap the two strands around the base each on their own but simultaneously. This is called the Vortex Bun and you can do so also with three and more strands.👋
@fionafornarina
@fionafornarina Год назад
That's how you call it: Infinity Braid. It is already a challenge to braid this with two strands only. Then it is called Zipper Braid. But I always failed when braiding such a braid down the neck and further.😩Really a good work. I also like how you speak to the cam directly at the beginning and later, when the work starts, from off-screen.🙂
@TheSourceOfWit

@TheSourceOfWit
@TheSourceOfWit Год назад
I didn't blow dry either when I had long hair, for fear of damaging it (now I have short hair I don't care). I used to put detangling serum and volume mousse in when wet and let it air dry, either loose or in an updo or braid, depending on whether I wanted straight hair to work with or something with more waves. Unless the braids are really tight, my hair can't stay in an updo or braid overnight, it gets too frizzy.

You're very welcome! I put volumizing mousse on my hair after washing and a detangling spray. I can't usually leave it up for more than a day because my hair frizzes too much for that (and sleeping is not fun on top of a bun), so I can only leave it the same overnight if I had it in tight braids.
