You think this one’s bad buddy I’m doing a water pump on a 3.5 in an explorer!!!!! the swears that have come out of me make you look like mother Teresa buddy lol I’m ready to drive to Detroit and find the engineer that designed this shit and put my boot to his back side
So I have a 2009 JD 2305 with 851 hours on it. According to my service guy they were able to grease these U joints for me. But I’m skeptical because he had a new guy working for him and I’m not certain he did the job himself. My plan is to take this thing apart and inspect things and see if I can get grease to go directly in those joints. If not, then I might be attempting to replace the U-joints. Not my wheelhouse but way easier than a new transmission, I suspect. We’ll see. My question for you is should I just cut my losses and trade for a different make or model? What would you recommend? BYW, I try not to swear much myself but I don’t care at all that you do. It adds appropriate emphasis to your points about poor designs.
Well whether or not you want to trade it in on another model is going to be your choice you're going to have to weigh the pros and cons if your unit is already paid for even if you have to do this maintenance it's a really not that bad cheaper than the new tractor payment I'm sure
Thanks I kind of fell into a deep dark hole there for a little while didn't feel like making any videos plus it was winter time and I wasn't working on much
I would if I had some drill bits and a tap I'm in a situation where I do not have my tools like that plus this balancer is from 1973 so it's time for it to be changed
I have a 1965 MF 180 that looks very similar.. I was under the impression that I had to split the tractor to get pump out. My question is can I remove the pump on the Model 180 without splitting the tractor.
God damn Rockford! Thats a beautiful truck. Had the dee luxe boom booms in it too. Rather deal with interior and paint work than fuckin rust repair myself.
Did you remove the ABS module when taking it out. I’m about to do this on my 97 and I don’t see how it’s possible without removing it. I don’t wanna remove it because I don’t want to bring it to the shop to have them bleed it Could you also link the raw version you said you had on your other channel? I can’t find it.
I have a gas mf 50 and have enjoyed using it till the mice got into the clutch housing , through the steering column I guess, and pissed the clutch tight. I love the looks of the 100 series mf. Bucket list is to get 135,150 & 165. Great size tractors for the home hobbyist / small acreage land owner.
@albertfilla7517 I'm afraid that I don't have a simple answer for you bud if they all fell out of both there's no way to really tell I don't think which one it would go in you could take one and try to fit it in but I think they're probably both the same size
I hope for is watching this maybe they will wake up and know what to do fix the f****** problem and do it right that's my opinion Ford because I will never buy another
I say allow illegals to work but crack down on employers/government to tax them heavily. We will see how they like coming here if there wages are at slavery levels. The millennials and gen z workforce will not provide adequate levels of skill in the future anyway.
I've heard a little about the recent supreme court decision, but haven't had time to dig into it. Glad I got your take on it first. You always shoot from the hip and keep it real.
I own a 2305. Excactly the same thing happened recently. I grease everything regularly but thought this U-joint didn't need to, since there was no way of getting to it. $ 4500 in repairs later, I learned my lesson. Definitly a faulty design.
I had a 88 2500 that would not start. I thought I knew a good mechanic. I paid him 200$ and he couldn't tell me nothing. I scrapped it, next day my truck running like a scalded dog. Dammit
I had one of those. 2.0 zetec and 5 speed. Thing was an animal in the snow. Motor run good, trans shifted good. The seating position surprised me, its almost like sitting on a chair instead of on the floor. To me, the focus was like the neon....very hit or miss. I know some people who had nothing but trouble with em, and others who run the wheels off em with very little troubles
The focus is that had the split port injection motor had a bad habit of dropping the valve seat out of the head, causing catastrophic damage to the engine
