Una duda , por los materiales que está compuesto el ukelele , ¿ Crees que en sonido no Iguala a los tradicionales de madera o todo lo contrario, no le pide nada en sonido a los de madera ? 🤔
Are these the Pepe Romero Baby Baritone strings for Tenor ukuleles (and can also be used on concert)? Another alternative is to use classic guitar strings, I use Martin M160 hard tension strings and I can't tell the difference between them. I use strings 1,3,4,5 as I prefer the finer string for the e but others use 2,3,4,5.
@@oneseekinglight9491 no, the tension and tone of the pepe remero strings dont have the right balance for my preferences. The set I'm using is a custom set I made with fluorocarbon fishing leader and a specific squeakless smoothwound A and D string from a classical set. This set is cheaper, has a more balanced tone and tension as well
Most excellent. I just got done doing this, but not to my Enya Eut-Mad. I did it to an Eastrock and wow, it's fantastic. Sounds just like my Lanikai baritone. I have very short fingers, so the slightly narrower fret width just works for me. Plus...the sound. There is just something about DGBE, that deep resonance. I used regular baritone strings because I couldn't afford the others, but, they work. I also have a Amari baritone that I put tenor strings on, but I will be switching them back to baritone because the strings are too tight for my playing taste. Anyways, thanks for sharing. It was good!
You can use Classic Guitar strings. I use Martin M160 hard tension strings. I use strings 1,3,4,5 as I prefer the finer string for the e but others use 2,3,4,5. They have better tension than baritone strings on a Tenor Uke and are also much more affordable.
@@oneseekinglight9491 you wouldnt use a baritone set on a tenor silly. There are specific sets to achieve a baritone tuning on a tenor but they differ from a standard baritone set.
My first uke was a tenor version of the MAD in blue. It's still my most played uke. That fretboard is really comfortable for me, and I love the sound. Rings beautifully. The concert size is gorgeous sounding too.
I love your original songs! They're gorgeous, and I've been enjoying watching and rewatching this and the mahogany vs spruce/rosewood Enya vid over and over to hear your music. Both of these ukes sound lovely. I love the warmth of the Aklot, but I adore the full tones and expressiveness from the Enya. So resonant and bell-like. There's no bad choices here.
@@MattyUkulele - Thanks! I was over the moon when I got the restock notification. Knowing how much I love my EUT-MAD, I suspect this will be another immediately beloved uke.
Saw this from the Ukulele Community group. You may not think it’s perfect; however, I think it’s quite beautiful. Keep on keeping on! Happy strumming 🤙🏼!
I have no idea about the difference in cost and perhaps my speakers aren't up to the task, but I have a strong preference for the Enya. It seemed brighter and the tones rang more. The aNueAnue sounded duller to my ears. Thanks for the comparison video! Also, your playing is lovely!
Wow! Talk about timing. You just did a comparison of the exact two ukuleles I wanted to hear. The Moon Bird is phenomenal, as always, and the S1 is incredibly impressive at its price point. The Moon Bird has more complexity and dynamics, but the S1 is remarkably similar in tone for those on a budget. Thank you!
That was lovely! Beautifully played, and that uke has a heavenly tone. Sweet, clear, and warm. Been looking at the concert model, and I think you just helped me decide.
@@FenrirInFlowers it is an excellent ukulele, especially for the price. I made another video where I compared this $250 enya uke with a $1600 moon bird, and it held it's own!
@MattyUkulele - Yes! I had just been watching that one, and the S1 did amazing in that comparison. I love the Moon Bird, but it's currently out of my price range. The S1 is absolutely lovely and has a very similar sound. It's just absolutely beautiful. They're both ear candy.
Pretty tune nicely performed. Very hard for me to discern any difference in tone or projection? The melody notes appear to be on top 3 strings though? I couldn’t identify whether you’re using High or low G tuning. High g?
Thanks for this. I have both. The soprano has become my travel Uke of choice and has been on many trips with me. Now if they would just add metal frets like the tenors.
@@kimberlygreiner3535 I agree! Metal frets would be great. I've had a concert that the frets wore down in the first position and caused buzzing. But i played the heck out of it for quite some time. I'd prefer the metal frets just for visual purposes, sometimes i get lost on the all black fretboard even with the markers.
@@thejoritube about a year on the first one. I got a replacement and I played it for several years with no wear so I thing they may have addressed the issue and adjusted their composite blend.
I have this exact same (euc - ms blue color) uke and stripped the finish and stain off of the body and the neck completely and changed the strings to oasis bright and it feels like an entirely new uke and the tone and volume are just way above its league now.
They are very good ukes. I would recomend for sure. The fit and finish is perfect and they sound great. The feel is a bit different though so you have to adjust to holding it differently.
It's not really "carbon fiber". That's misleading labeling. Its polycarbonate plastic with 30% carbon powder mixed with it. It is nice and it is affordable, but it's not truly carbon fiber.
