I fully agree with what you said about Grace. I became aware of Grace around the time "Lions Den" video released. I have a question "Did they actually sing a duet"?
Let me make one thing clear: *This is NOT PAVAROTTI’s best performance of this incredible aria.* _Let that sink in for a minute!_ But the thing is, there isn’t a person on this earth who could listen to this man sing this aria (and several other arias, as well, btw) without this reaction. And that’s because Pavarotti had such a gorgeous natural instrument, and then he learned the incredibly difficult technique which makes all the physics stars align….an incredibly beautiful aria, the correct amount of support in the gut to send the correct amount of breath through the vocal cords, with the correct amount of head resonance for the vowels, plus an innate musicality to infuse the correct emotion….when a singer with a fabulous natural voice can do that *(and very few can)* it evokes this intense visceral response from listeners, _EVERY SINGLE TIME!_ *The Italians developed this technique about 150-200 years ago so that singers could be heard over an ever growing set orchestra, **_with no artificial amplification._* It’s so sad that this art, called “bel canto” technique, is dying out, even though there are some wonderful singers who are keeping it alive!

Opera and classical music are the ultimate expression of human feelings. There is no music that can express and transmit so many feelings, even if you don't understand the language, as OPERA does. It is music, it is feeling. I am happy to see people who have never heard classical music and get excited when they hear it, just like I do. It is beautiful. It is life.

The look on Pavarotti's face after he sings the last line is one of my favourite expressions I've ever seen. It's as if the man is bearing witness to whatever supernatural force is singing through him, and he is completely overwhelmed by it.
