Beautiful project. I have used eucalyptus before and at the end it looked like walnut at a fraction of the cost. Your project turned out well. I learned a few tricks. I like your video style. Just subbed. Thx

Any problem with shrinking of the bench top? I'm not sure if i want a split top or a solid top and i was just curious how yours is doing.

Three things…. 1) where did you get that hose sock thing? I battle with mine every time. B) maybe unhook the dust collection when you’re using the pad to spread your finish? This is just a guess but you may get some junk up in that sander and that would be a shame. And 3) nice work.

Central vac hose sock: amzn.to/4gBtXlC. The vac hose is disconnected at the vacuum. I do this because the power cord and vac hose are bundled and I’m too lazy to get out another cord. 😆 Thanks for watching!

Very Nice job, but l would have to think about $400 per each of those fairly small pull-outs. What is that, maybe 6 cubic feet or so.

Love your precision. I also use the JessEm stock guides on my old Craftsman saw circa early 80's, turns a fairly dangerous saw ( no riving knife) into a very good old saw coupled with a modern 2hp induction motor and an Incra fence. I do appreciate the attention to detail in your stuff. I do like the voice over. Even though it's usually obvious what you're doing, sometimes it's helpful to hear it too. Thanks, look forward for the next one!

Yep - some modern upgrades can make a HUGE difference with older machines. My first “modification” ever was putting a blade stabilizer on my old Delta contractor saw. I was amazed at the improvement! 😂😆 Thanks for watching 👍👊

Cuando era un niño mi padre me enseñó a fabricar la herramienta que siempre es útil, y sin mucho presupuesto es más de pensar y adecuar algunos materiales , nunca se detiene uno por nada.

Really nice. I will use this as an inspiration for an upcoming project. Is there a special reason why you didn't put in the screws from the underside? Or does it just not matter because a bunch of books will cover them either way?
@cleancutwoodworks
@cleancutwoodworks Месяц назад
Thanks for watching! Screws from the underside would be a tight install with either the impact driver or a conventional screw driver. Doesn’t really matter… stuff is going on the shelves and the black screws won’t really be seen. Good luck with your project! 👍👊

This is beautiful!!! I have been desperately searching online for some plans or dimensional drawings of the Gustav Stickley "mission spindle bed" (King size). If you have any idea where I might be able find a set of plans, I'd be forever in your debt.
