The one thing I've been trying to find in a video, a good starting point. Someone finally recommended 80hz as a good starting point. I feel vindicated. Thanks
Way to go keep posting videos i love DD i want to put some 18s or 21s in my escalade you think a M4 will work for now on 2 of them beast what series do yall guys recommend thanks in advance
Never has a problem til now. 3 different cars all same system and now my amp is overheating 😒 idk what the problem is but imma just blame the LOC since thats the only thing new
Blake see if you can reduce the price down to $200 BOGO and that would make it reasonible enough for me to purchase and try them. I dont have an application for them but they would be nice to have and play around in different applications
Blake what about coming up with a bad to the bone 6 ,5 something for the low end junkies my 18s are tuned between 2o and 60 hz That's a big gap if you make them I guarantee they'll sell
I don't think a 6 1/2 would be an appropriate driver to try to fill that gap. You probably want some sort of 10 inch or 8 inch mid bass driver. That's why they exist.
The suspension on the M206 is designed to bring extra punch and emphasize midbass more, but it doesn't dig very deep. The geometry of a 6.5" speaker doesn't lend itself well to dedicated midbass. You'd compromise overall output enough that you'd need multiple drivers to keep up with any large sub stage, and at that point you might as well just use larger speakers
Yes I understand what you guys are saying 810s 12s in a mid-base but what if you have a really nice Yukon and you don't want to do that to your door panels I wouldn't mind butchering the steel behind it and strengthening it but putting a big ghetto eight or 10 in my door panel for the front stage just ain't it
I guess the reason why I would even ask is a thought,, if you can make quote unquote word of mouth these amazing eighths that sound like 15s in a sub,, could it be possible to build a 6'5 with the same idea though it's only a 6.5 but it sounds like a 8
@FrankStPeter I think you would need two or even three 6.5" to match up with your subs. That would require custom/modified door panels. I don't think one 6.5" could do it. Maybe if you built an enclosure in the door, that would give a big boost in output. You might consider larger midbass drivers in the rear area. Then you could keep the door panels stock. Maybe a sealed 8" can be fit up front near the firewall.
I really need to get my bank account beefed up a little bit more so I can go all Dd I'm dead serious because that 99Dd 21 i just got back Saturday sounds phenomenal and it not even nearly broken in but I can tell because its getting louder every day 😂😂
